If Portland is trading Dame, Scoot is their future. They not trading him. Zero reason to bring him up.

Yep...and Dame...truth will end up being, we shoulda gone after Brandon Miller instead of Scoot. BM was "gettable"...considering the trade bait we had for the Hornets. Be a year before everybody else figures it out, about Miller. Then, it will be too late. Same "too late" for us, as it was regarding Malik Bridges.

PS: Are the Pels REALLY gonna pay BI $50M/yr in a coupla years ? Answer is...NO !!

Looks like deal if it’s Miami will expand to at least a 4 team deal.

To riff on Jerry Seinfeld, who ARE these teams?

Portland will be sending out Dame. No clue what they are getting back.

Miami is likely sending out everyone not named Jimmy Butler or Bam and getting Dame.

Who the frick wants some of the garbage coming out of Miami?

If a team is looking for a salary dump, Lowry is a possibility, but the rest of Miami’s movable roster is a mix of bloated crap contracts or small contracts for guys who won’t move the needle.

Just curious...are you sayin' YOU...would be in favor of payin' BI that kinda $$ or just that the Pels are? I, for one, can think of quite a few better ways to spend $50M/yr. (Unless BI's overall game...suddenly makes a HUGE change from it's current "style")

In the new TV deal? For us? Probably not.

I just don’t see how Miami gets what Portland wants.

Duncan is not worth a 1st.

Herro MAY get them a 1st.

They don’t have any good young players.

Who could possibly be interested?

They can probably send out Phillip Michael Thomas (Tubbs) for cheap. Possibly Jamie Foxx (movie Tubbs) too depending on his current health.

Rumor is...BOTH Ricos were floated as part of the deal. Completely torpedoed the entire "talks" !!

Gotta try to not think in dollars but instead think of it as % of the cap.

Can you name 2 or 3 of these?

Yeah...you're right & "point taken". I think my overall point was just to, once again, register my unhappiness with BI's choice of playing style...to this point.

Miami has been shopping Herro for two years and nobody has bitten.

If they take a bad contract then they’ll get a 1st, but Portland doesn’t want bad contracts, they want an Allstar level player and multiple picks.

I just don’t see a route to then getting that

Now maybe Griff and the Portland GM talk again about a deal centering around Scoot and BI. Maybe Griff decides he doesn’t want to pay that much to BI, and the Portland gm sees he won’t get anywhere market value for Lillard. Maybe Lillard decides to stay if they add a talent like BI if he sees he can’t go to Miami since they have absolutely nothing to offer.

Then stop watching. Brandon is the best player on this team.
