re: Pelicans, one of the teams, reached out to Portland for Damian Lillard

Zion is worlds ahead of Ingram as a player
I am taking Brandon’s 50 games over Zion’s 30. Zion is definitely more talented but BI is the leader of the team and will be getting a max deal unless he wants out (he doesn’t).
It really confuses me why Pelican’s fans can’t accept him as the future of this team. He isn’t going anywhere especially for some unproven guard like Scoot. The mocks on here and on twitter have and always will be laughably fricking stupid

That's exactly what we're doing by accepting that Ingram will be our #1.

How did this thread get to 10 pages. We aren't getting dame. At best we sneak into this trade and dump kira or something

CJ was considered big game.

CJ was considered big game.
Our best 2 players are young and on max deals. CJ was the big trade for the 3rd guy.
This notion that we never make meaningful trades is odd.

If you think Brandon Ingram is mediocre it might be time to get your eyes checked champ.

Remember when the Pels were #1 in the conference and all the media talked about was how stacked the Pelicans were?

Probably because people bitch about every deal.
Steven Adams as center would have been considered a big trade if we had t moved from 4 down to 8 and the late teens in the process.
Val would be considered a big trade if not for a number of other pieces we got in related trades such as Bledsoe being busts.
Etc
People want to trade big but also want it to be a complete and total trade rape of the other team

Accepting BI as your #1 is accepting we won't win a title for that entire time. It's accepting defeat.

Literally made a playoff push with Brandon playing and zion 360 no scoping during warm ups. Thats the story of Zion’s career thus far.

Zion without BI has been a winning team. BI without Zion has been a sub 500 team. That's not my opinion, that's fact.

Remind me again who averaged 30 in the playoffs against the best defense in the NBA. Wanna blame not winning that series on anyone? Blame it on zion for being fat and out of shape and Jaxson for being immature.

That's mediocrity.

Stay on topic. You're crediting for this amazing playoff push where we went 15-17 while also telling me that's not mediocre. Why?

Who are the best SFs in the NBA under 30?
Ingram also has versatility to play multiple positions.
I remember a time when the Pels/Hornets were desperate to find a dependable wing player like Ingram.

Don’t even bother, had this debate with Shel a while back. He said BI was incapable of making an All Pro team?!? Zion is LeBron to him, all wins get credited to him while all loses are the other guys not giving him enough help ….lol

The issue is way more complex then what you are presenting.

You want us to magically be the 04 Pistons but without an all time awesome defense. We won't be the outlier just cause. You don't win a title of your best player is a Brandon Ingram level player. He's a #2.
It's odd that you think I'm so wrong and you're so correct when there's no evidence to support your argument, zero.
quote:Seems you have emotional takes and responses to me posting literal facts, like our record when 1 or the other. Why is that record not relevant to you? Seems you want to define your narrative first then ignore any evidence to the contrary.
Zion is LeBron to him, all wins get credited to him while all loses are the other guys not giving him enough help ….lol
All the evidence points to Zion being the better player.
Debate facts, don't do the odd emotional takes like "he thinks Zion is Lebron." that provides nothing to this debate. Debate the facts. You didn't do that last time but you can this time. :)
