We need to run point zion more. We should stagger BI and Z so whenever BI is off the floor we are running point zion. Its such an effective weapon and i feel like we just started using this season vs the clippers

They already stagger them just haven't run the point z yet.

Cj and Zion were attached at the hip when all 3 were healthy.

I think Willie saw just how good point Zion was working in the second half of the Clippah game and will more than likely deploy this at will now

Luka is just a young Slovenian James Harden, he already gains weight in the offseason like him.

One of em brings his play to another level in the playoffs, and the other one, well he also brings his playoff play to another level, it's just not a healthy level.

I know he is not popular but Jax gets hacked a lot with no call. It is more evident in person than on TV. He is athletic enough to still make buckets though. I just wish his game could catch up to his ability.

Not saying I agree with it being called this way, but we know there is a hierarchy in getting calls. So with that and knowing that, I can live with Jax not getting calls he should.

But how Zion gets the worst whistle in the league is beyond frustrating.

He should have already known this. The way they've been trying to force feed Zion in the post is just not getting the most out of him. I get posting him up when BI and CJ are in the game, but Point Zion should be running the second units.

ETA: Here's a short clip I just ran across from Shamit talking about this exact issue and how Zion is posting up twice as much (30% of the time) as he did under SVG and how Zion isn't being used in the P&R much at all. LINK

I know there are only so many things you can implement at a time, but this is the same staff that was here under SVG, to not start the season planning for Point Zion to be a thing is just baffling.

Given how Willie has handled things(well), on this I am sort of giving him the benefit of the doubt in that maybe he didn't want to push that much responsibility onto Zion that quickly when the pre-season(and the regular season) was so disjointed with the guys in and out of lineups.

Though it did feel more like he backed into using it last game so I hope even if so, he rolls with it going forward.

Yeah it doesnt utilize his passing at all. Zion is best starting from the perimeter and getting a head of steam. No more zion post ups

I'm sure many here remember how Jokic changed the outcome of a game we lost in OT to them last season.

Just dropped in to say eff that dude. I grew an instant hatred for him that game watching him run around the court like a petulant child.

What bothers me is that Zion is number 46th in the league in FTAs. 46th!

When he starts getting those calls his way, katie bar the door.

Well you need z post ups because he's still a mismatch against 90% of the guys singling him in the post. It'll also save his energy.

He did chill

Yes, he calmed down. He used to cuss and scream and go hard at the refs and it was insufferable. Even two of my best buddies who are die hard Mavs fans were tired of it. Now he complains the same amount it's just a tame version of it to where he doesn't get a technical. It's good for him and the team that he has toned it down, but he doesn't do it any less.

Yet, you and others are still complaining about Luka like it’s your birthright lol.

And you're defending him like it's yours. Outside of an in game thread versus the Mavericks, I've probably talked about him a handful of times, and I've been on here a long time. I don't dwell on this like you somehow like to think. I just can't stand him as a basketball player. His game is incredible and I would take him in a heartbeat, but I do not enjoy watching him play basketball, it's as simple as that, and one of the main reasons is because of his attitude. I'm not going to dislike Harden and Lebron because of their entitlement complaining attitude and give Luka a pass for no reason. He is no different from them, except he's white.
