Any word on a streaming service? Doesn’t look like YTTV or Hulu Live will be getting the channel

I feel like I need to reply to this just out of the sheer rarity of the post. Averaging 2 posts a year for about 20 years.

Welcome

It's 2024. Your viewing options are an antenna or Fubo-TV.

It's like they're trying to hemorrhage fans to justify a move to Seattle at this point.

Season starts in 9 days and they have released no details at all.

What was Tony Allen talking about?

FUBO pricing starts at $79.99 per month if anyone was curious.

Christian Clark is reporting that Pelicans will announce a stand alone streaming platform this week that you can subscribe to called Pelicans+
Pricing will be announced this week.

He also said they are working to get channel on other platforms like Cox, YoutubeTV, etc and that they have an agreement for OTA in Lafayette which will be announced this week.

I don’t see lots of room for complaining after these announcements. Fans will have a menu of options to get games:

1. Free OTa
2. In a “cable” bundle via fubo (and hopefully more options like youtubeTV)
3. A la carte streaming via pelicans+

Bruh, we're 9 days away and you've got vagaries.

1. Shitty reception
2. Games are not on any cable or satellite providers as of 10/14/2024
3. I have a bridge to sell you, sight unseen.

I have watched almost all of the pelicans games the past few seasons bc I was able to record them. If I cannot record the games I will not be able to watch most of them and that really sucks.

Big business deals often require deadlines to force one side to blink and get deals done. I would imagine it's pretty trivial to add a new channel to the cable system if they agreed on a deal at the deadline.

I do find it curious that they don't have more details about their own streaming service out yet. I'm sure it's being held up by the usual corporate bullshite, back and forth between multiple departments to agree on things before it's ready for release. They should have just slapped a new skin on whatever Utah/Phoenix had set up and customize next season.

Does anyone know if tonight’s game will be on website? Shows a countdown and watch button, but right now that button takes you to league pass options so hard to say

This has been a slow, clunky, awkward, not well done process with a lot of things that haven't been ideal so far...

But...

The Pelicans will probably have 2-3x the viewers with everything in place, at least

None of the prior matters if they have a working streaming option prior to first game. If that gets botched, then this was all a disaster

The way it takes you to League Pass to watch the game is their standard "advertising" banners for league pass essentially. To watch the game you need to go to the Live section, that's where I've found it for the past 2

I guess I am just now realizing you can’t get the games on cox cable cbs but need an antennae. Is this right?

That seems to be the latest information they have allowed to leak out

It seems like they're going to have 2-3x times less viewers for the foreseeable future.

I think I found it on cox cable. Channel 129. Gonna check at 630 to see if it's on but I saw a commercial advertising it.
