re: How many of you are about to give up on college football?

Also, how bowl games have taken a back seat. Especially the expansion to 12 teams. It is getting more and more common for those going to the nfl to skip them.

I think this is last week’s poll. AP hasn’t come out yet .

If you have cox cable, you can watch the Pelican games in Baton Rouge. It is on channel 125.

It seems that in the Baton Rouge area it is on WAFB 9.3 which is called Circle. For cox cable this is channel 125. Right now they have an old college football game on.

I guess I am just now realizing you can’t get the games on cox cable cbs but need an antennae. Is this right?

Is it on NBATV ?
re: Stop making the “the play was non reviewable “ argument.

What is to keep teams from using this as a “trick” play, now that it has been ruled legitimate? Batter could step away but keep his toe on the edge of the batter’s box. I really do think it has to be explained what the catcher should have done.
This is about Willie Green
Posted by Tigresstiger on 4/29/24 at 10:26 pm
I have been supportive of this team and Willie Green ever since he became head couch. But once he started favoring Nance over J V, I feel the team went downhill. I don’t think it is BI or anyone else. It is Willie Green that destroyed the chemistry of this team.
re: Name the players you would want on the team next year

I don’t think it is the players, it is the coach. I don’t want Willie back.
re: Jan 12th game vs Denver flexed to ESPN

When they first announced the local broadcasts, they said Joel, AD, and Jen would be the team for those games.
re: Year 1 Zion vs Year 5 Zion
Posted by Tigresstiger on 12/28/23 at 4:51 pm
I guess the choice is this: we had the path of giving Zion the tools that allowed hm to have success staying in the paint and not be double teamed. So that was achieved by increasing the 3-point shooters. But then there is Willie Green’s vision. It seems as though the surrounding players are more in tune with Willie Green’s vision ( which I think leads to success) than Zion’s one dimensional, plodding play style.

The administration’s focus was to build a team to compliment Zion. Yet, also, Willie Green’s philosophy has been good defense and an uptempo offense with quick ball movement. Zion doesn’t play good defense, his movement is plodding, he is prone to turn overs and also is iffy with free throws. Does this team really play better with Zion in the line up?
re: Zion’s effort

It was not a good night for really all the pelican players. But I think Zion’s play was devastating. This team is suppose to be built around him. Yet he has the
most turnovers, can’t make FT, doesn’t rebound, can’t run, even misses shots in the paint. I think it is time for some tough love; for example send him to Birmingham to get in shape.

I'm interested where you find these stats. The Advocate doesn't publish any defensive stats.
