It's really 7 months of payment from October through April.
If I subscribe for monthly $15 starting Oct 23rd aka first game:

1) Oct23-Nov23
2) Nov23-Dec23
3) Dec23-Jan23
4) Jan23-Feb23
5) Feb23-March23
6) March23-April23

Last game is April 13th. Would be 6 months of regular season
Edit: Unless they bamboozle me saying that billing is Oct1st through Oct31st which would be some horse shite.

This ain't a utility billing cycle brah. You're basically paying at the first of every month including the month of sign up.

I'm speaking to my attorney about this.

WAFB called back and said they are not required to work with indoor antennas. They said that their broadcast tower works well with outdoor antenna.

required?
They have no control over an indoor antenna working.
You put your indoor antenna behind your tv on your brick fireplace with the tower behind that brick, you aren't catching anything more than likely.
You put your indoor antenna in a window facing towards the tower, you have a good chance of catching the channel.

It's not magic. You can't just connect an antenna and not care about where it's pointing or what's in the line of sight of your antenna and the tower.

For as much money as the NBA makes, their media situation is fricking horrendous.

Maybe next year they'll be on Crackle.

The wording it uses says 99.99 for the upcoming season. So will access to the app be shut off after the last game? Meaning can’t watch previous games on demand or the extras?

Looks like COX BR might have GCSEN on channel 125, FYI.

Has anyone tried OTA in the Houma/Terrebonne area?

Thanks.

Live in Thibodaux! Tried OTA antenna route last season to both New Orleans and Baton Rouge affiliates. Kept stepping up the quality and range of antenna short of installing one in the attic or pole. Could not bring up digital channels for either.
Seems like I'm in a "no man's land" for coverage.

But indoor antenna works to the point where i get 2, 27, 33, 44 clearly!!!

Just not 9. WAFB is just being cheap.

I found the replay from last night when I checked that channel. Glad I can see the games. Now we just need them to broadcast in HD.

Live on Thibodeaux and do not catch Baton Rouge or New Orleans with an indoor antenna. Had my camper here and tried it with an amplified outdoor antenna and still no reception for Baton Rouge or New Orleans.

It would be nice if everyone would post and area where they are receiving and not receiving. Also, if it’s an indoor or outdoor antenna

That’s a good idea. To post location and type of antenna you’re able to catch the OTA channel.

Thanks.

Indoor antennas have like a 30 mile range, and that’s if you put them outside with nothing blocking the line of sight from your antenna to the tower.

You aren’t catching shite in thibodaux with an indoor antenna.
I’ve got a few buddies with antennas in their attics in thibodaux. They are big antennas and specifically for long range signals and you have to decide if you want the NO or BR channels, not both.

After I canceled my cable, I used the existing coaxial wiring on my house to attach an antenna outside at ground level. Just found where the coaxial line from my TV joined into an exterior line on my house, disconnected the joint, and screwed in the antenna there instead. You'll just need an adapter like this LINK. Basically using the existing coaxial wiring as an extension cord to locate the antenna outside.

I've since done it at houses of two others who had inconsistent indoor reception, and it worked. I live in New Orleans itself though, so it might not help where the tower just doesn't have a strong signal. Also not sure whether if you still have cable, you can use a splitter and get signals from both the cable and the OTA antenna. Might be worth a try.

I use flat antennas similar to this LINK. They're cheap and easy to install. I have streaming, but antennas still have been useful. Smart to have at least as a backup when internet/cable has problems

I don't live in a brick house, I have indoor antenna.

Antennas Direct ClearStream Flex Amplified Indoor TV Antenna, UHF, VHF, Multi-Directional, Reversible, 50+ Mile Range - w/Jolt Switch Amplifier

This is what I have.

I live 8 miles (Saint Gabriel) from WAFB tower,

I pick up other channels clearly.
WBRZ (2.1 & others)
WGMB (44.1 & others)
WVLA (33.1 & others)
LPB (27.1 & others)

I still fail to pick up
WAFB (9.1 & others)

My current streaming provider is YouTube TV.

I guess i would have to subscribe to Pelicans+ for 14.99 a month until WAFB gets their shite together, or YouTubeTV gets their shite together.

Move your antenna until you catch wafb.
Youre so close to the towers just moving it a little makes a big difference. Catching channel 2 and 9 from st Gabriel isn’t easy b/c the towers aren’t really in the same direction, so you end up pointing between them and then both signals are weak.
You can catch nbc and fox very easily. I’ve stuck a small piece of copper in the port on the tv and caught those channels. Catching channel 2 and 9 usually requires you to point in the right direction.
Download the antenna point app.
If all you have it for is to watch pelicans games, then just point towards channel 9 tower.
