---the fact that Dyson has been unavailable to get in some serious time on the court to advance his game. This guy will be a major factor in the Pels future. Hate to basically waste his rookie year. Maybe he can return & get some heavy usage down the stretch. Hate to basically start from scratch with Dyson...next year.

Was he ruled out for the year or something? I was assuming he'd return in the 2nd half.

We know nothing.

Pretty sure we haven't gotten a single update since he went down and the initial injury update was given.

I thought the broadcast team talked about him coming back after the ASG.

Griff basically confirmed to Joel/AD that he will be back after the break.

Said he's been practicing and doing most on-court activities.

He's played in almost 40 games and we have 23 left he may be able to play in. Pretty sure the evaluation was going to come after the ASB.

I think he will return fairly soon after the ASB. I just hope that, if he does...FULLY READY OR NOT...WG will see fit to use him quite a bit more than he normally would. He's got a bunch of catching-up to do but will eventually be a desperately needed "help"...for Herb on the defensive end. Plus, hopefully a solid offensive game...eventually.

That we went from "Can we win the west?" to "Can we make the play-in and stay ahead of the Lakers?" in the matter of a 5 weeks.

I don't have much doubt in my mind we are a 6 seed or better. Our schedule the rest of the way is VERY helpful.

Point taken. But realistically we were never a threat to win the West and nomatter how the season goes... I just like to see young players take a step up each year...especially any player that figures largely in our future success. We have several players that "improvement" is not a big deal...and probably not even expected. They probably won't be around much longer. Dyson needs to make that "step up"...down the stretch.

If the realism is based in knowing that Zion and BI would miss significant time, sure. Had they not both gone down, we'd, at the very least, still be in striking distance for 1st right now.

"Zion will be back this season"

"Dyson will be back after the All-Star break"

I enjoyed the quarter of Griff last night. Feel like he answered a lot of questions, and called out Willie some.

What did he say? I had the shitty ESPN broadcast. How does Marc Jackson still have a job? Everything from his disinterested tone to awful takes sucks.

Has Dyson taken over Herb as your young player that will be a major factor in the Pels future? Last year you were singing Herb's praises and at the deadline, it sounded as if you were ready to move on from him.

At times, I may have bad-mouthed Herb. Rest assured it was meant as joke as a retort to some who might actually be saying that Herb should be let go. JMO: Herb has improved in every aspect of his game this year other than the obvious 3-pt shooting. The drop in FT% is no big deal & he can be back to 80% with just a few games of solid FT shooting. Herb is a "keeper" & is only gonna get better.

Dyson is a much needed addition on the defensive end. He will make Herb better & Herb will make him better. No matter what folks think, we suck on defense. I assume our main problem on the defensive end...will be remedied by next season.

Missed the calling out I think, what did he say?

But I do agree. You can tell Griff isn't an idiot. He sees what a lot of us see even if he masks it in a lot of Griff-speak.

I don't remember him calling Willie out, but they absolutely laughed at the joke calls that LeBron gets vs anyone on the Pels multiple times. It was a good bit of information overall from what I remember on the team after the ASB and moving forward and the fact that not being healthy has played a larger part in why we are the 7 seed.

ETA: Griff truly came off as one of the Pels 12.

We need Daniels back ASAP. Love Alvarado but his limitations in size really makes him inconsistent on the defensive end. When his offense isnt going, it's glaring when he struggles to keep up with bigger and quicker guards.
