You know whats crazy? You STILL believe Griff when he gives you a timetable. After all that lying he has done to you. That's nuts to me.

That in a draft where Jalen Duren, Mark Williams, and Walker Kessler went mid to late first round, we didn’t retain our own first round pick to address rim protection.

Griff basically confirmed to Joel/AD that he will be back after the break.

Ah sweet, I don't have access to the local team on those nationally televised games.

But...did Griff say which All Star break?

Point taken. But realistically we were never a threat to win the West

Yes, we were.

Missed the calling out I think, what did he say?

Don’t remember the exact quote, but he was commenting on the lack of offensive consistency and sets. AD was talking about going through Jonas at the time. Want to say it was in the second half of the second quarter.

Maybe not exactly calling out Willie, but stating a glaring hole in strategy and prep, which comes down to coaching.

I enjoyed the quarter of Griff last night. Feel like he answered a lot of questions, and called out Willie some.

That stinks that they did that on a national broadcast game that I don't have access to.

Would be nice if someone can start a thread and recap what he said.

ut stating a glaring hole in strategy and prep,

He said the strategy and prep was done, just that the players were not executing.

That is still on WG.

Yeah I should have written it down exactly last night. Might pull up the replay on Bally and summarize it.

you have the 8th pick.

you need
1. a better agile center
2. a better bigger guard
3. three point shooting

at 8, daniels is the better bigger guard. before injury he was impressing. no one can complain. i wanted a better shooter but daniels performed as advertised

draft 23. once again there will be bigs available when pels pick.
shooters too.

look over the mocks.
pick one big or shooter at 15th pick.

ps i know you were jonesing for the pels pick. it nearly went to memphis.

Yea I don’t actually hate the Daniels pick. I think he’ll turn out fine, maybe even very good if his offense develops. The real disappointment is just watching the suns kill us in the paint, and a year later having done nothing to address that flaw.

But until we leave this perpetual Groundhog Day of injured stars all criticism and disappointments are sadly pedantic.

aside from what day hes back the key point of op is how daniels is not playing so hes not improving and not being integrated doing his improved play.

i have the same issue with zion. hes not learning bodily. hes at step one.
is body able to play?
Not, "how about that jump hook off the bounce pass from cj?

daniels is working out and practicing.
zion is in rehab.

Rehab - nothing but rehab from the start. Zion is the MT of the Pelicans but even younger and never set records in his 1st 4 years. Zion went right into hobbled status and never has gotten healthy for more than a couple of months.
The Bounce is NOT back. The Bounce is GONE AGAIN.

Herb has improved in every aspect of his game this year other than the obvious 3-pt shooting. The drop in FT% is no big deal & he can be back to 80% with just a few games of solid FT shooting

That is a contradiction. He has been a poorer FT shooter, 3 point shooter, and 2 point shooter. He also fouls more often. Point being, 3 point shooting is very clearly not the only aspect of his game that has regressed from his rookie season.
