Oh for the Pels to ever have a season like this. OKC starters this year played:

Chet - 82 games
Giddey - 80 games
Dort - 79 games
Shai - 75 games
Williams - 71 games.

And their sixth man played in 82.

Even without Zion, the talent gap here isn’t the typical 1 v 8.

The Pels should make this series very competitive if not win outright. Need to make Chet defend Jonas down low, and need Jonas to make that painful for Chet.

Well, the problem is that they are healthy coming into this series too.

I think we should expect two wins. If we win it outright, a lot of crazy shite will have to go down. But hey, we swept Portland. We can win in 7 against OKC.

They are talented. They are also one of the worst western conference 1 seeds of the last 20 years.

They stayed healthy and played their starters in an era of load management.

Jonas is going Mutombo on this 1 seed.

How did you come to that conclusion? They literally the number one seed in one of the most competitive Western Conference seasons ever and you're telling me they're one of the worst western conference #1 seed in 20 years?

Did the 06/07 Mavericks disappeared from the face of the earth?

They don’t have anyone that can cover JV down low. Hopefully Willie can see that

I mean we don’t have anyone to really cover Chet either especially if he starts shooting from the outside. I do think JV pounding Chet might take a toll in the fourth,

2 would be a solid showing, I imagine or expect 0 or 1 win.

What's that say about the Pels barely getting into the playoffs as an 8 seed if the 1 seed in the West is THAT weak?

Because there was a long thread the other day about whether the lakers would throw the play in game so they could draw the Thunder. That thread was dumb, but everyone is right to prefer this 1 seed. It’s a weak 1 seed.

They won 67 games, had finals experience, and had prime Dirk. I’d rather play this Thunder team than that mavericks team.

So plenty of NBA players last more than 50 games a season including the top 6 on a team?
We have been told that is impossible for the last 5 years.

OKC is a lot like the Pels, their perimeter defense is solid, that's a big reason for their great regular season. Again, a lot like the Pels in that they get pressure defensively to get steals and deflections that power their transition game. Pels will throw Herb, Naji at SGA and I actually like a Dyson,TM3, BI matchup on Chet. Pels will need good shooting to keep Chet on the perimeter defensively, but I like Pels chances if Pels post and pressure the rim offensively, but again have to bank their kickout 3s.

Series to me, comes down to Trey vs. Jalen Williams. JDub is a fringe all-star player already. If Trey is HIM, he needs to SHOW the SAME.... NOW. Need a FEW games with him hitting 25 or better. Period.

I distinctly remrber people on here saying no way in hell this guy would ever make an entire season healthy and woukd be worse than Zion.

Hopefully the refs don't give SGA 15 free throws a game in the playoffs

Stealing the first one in OKC would be
huge for the series.

So what you are saying is that they are due for a major injury?
