When I saw this Schroeder tidbit, I literally fell ill within seconds and went to go vomit in the bathroom.
I want to say it was just a coincidence, but I’m not so sure.
If we do this series of convoluted moves to add Dennis, Griff is seriously putting himself in the running for operating the worst front office in NBA history. Ever since the Jrue trade, he has been a complete and utter embarrassment. Possibly even before that, considering the noise we might have been able to get pick 6 and a wing from the Hawks for Jrue instead of the poopoo platter of future 28th picks, one of which we already wasted on Adams.

NBA executives say they expect the Hawks to explore restarting the cycle of one of their rookie scale contract players, such as Cam Reddish, in exchange for a first round pick, as it seems unlikely they'll be able to pay all of their young wing players. LINK

I wouldn’t give 10 for Reddish that’s for sure.
If we could combine a bunch of 2nds for a late 1st, sure.

If we traded down to 15 or lower, then that's a pick I'd trade for Reddish.

I’d love to have reddish as long as the asking price is right.

Looks to be official now. I'd give a future lottery protected pick to Atlanta and add him into the Memphis trade

Eh. Not sure about that.

Reddish appears to be heading to bustville.

If they want to just dump Nance I would definitely take him

I have zero interest in Cam Reddish - for the same reason the Hawks want to trade him. He will want 20-25 mil per season and the likelihood he performs at that value is slim IMO. The curse of the second contract
MM's BFF works in Atlanta's Front Office. This is basically the reason they moved on from Taurean Prince which seemed to be the right call for them.

IDK man. Reddish basically came in raw during the Bucks series and played elite defense and provided pretty efficient scoring as well.
He’s really not a bad piece and Zion LOVES him. You think he loves Lonzo, he actually loves Reddish.
The 2nd contract bit is difficult and that’s why he isn’t worth 17.
If we flip 17 for 23, 24 with Houston and we flip one of those 2 picks for Reddish, I think that’s a fair risk to take.
Zo or Brogdon or Wildcard Option C- Kendrick Nunn type
Ingram
Reddish
Zion
Jonas
Bench
Kira
24th pick- Bones Hyland? Butler? Springer?
Naji
Olynk or Muscala with MLE?
Hayes
I think we’d still have either 18 mil in cap or tpe to work with as well. Potentially could make a strong 1-2 year offer to someone as we would need to leave cap space to resign Reddish if he works out well.

I was thinking about this, and it's why I'm fine with 17 for Reddish.

They wouldn't take a 2nd simply due to his having 2 more rookie years left, but a future (23-25) lottery protected pick or even trading down with Houston as suggested above and sending the lesser of those would likely get him

His defense alone warrants that type of compensation in a trade. You have 2 years to work on the shot to see if he's worth the 2md contract
Posted on 7/28/21 at 11:21 am to Soggymoss
He’s actually not that bad of an all around player and he plays D. I wouldn’t give up a ton but wouldn’t be a bad pickup to play with his boy Zion. He definitely needs someone to help him work on that shot. He plays a nice all around game besides scoring imho
