That’s who I wanted but I don’t think Raptors are going full fire sale. They may dump Siakam and let Lowry go, but I think they keep OG

Man I can't wait for Thursday, I still feel like where going to trade the pick.

Yeah that’s not the Raptors Identity under their GM.
They know last season was heavily affected by the relocation and they aren’t going to panic and act irrational.
Siakam though does seem like a bit of a locker room problem and not a great number one, so I get them keeping themselves open to a trade while also sending a signal to Siakam that you aren’t untouchable here. And maybe you aren’t as well regarded as you think of yourself as.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind Bled,Adams, 35 and 10 to Raptors for Siakam, then flip Ball to Miami for S&T of Duncan. Still gives you a versatile lineup without the spacing issues

Siakam can shoot just fine
He shot 29.7% from three last season and even in his better seasons years before he was only a slightly above average catch and shoot player, which we need better than that next to Zion.
Now add Simmons on top of that, bruh, that is the worst spaced team in the league.
And given how bad Simmons at the five line ups were, I don’t think it would be that great defensively either.

My god. And one of the most poorly spaced teams in the past 20 years. Would be an abject disaster on offense
You don’t know that for certain….would it be worse than our spacing this year?
So what if Ben won’t shoot 3’s. Neither did Adams, but he would be a massive upgrade over him. Pascal had a down shooting year with his injury, but in previous years he was a very solid catch and shoot guy who was low usage and slashed to the basket well in transition. Having NAW start instead of Bledsoe would further help.
I’m not saying it will be a complete success, but we were bottom tier in 3’s made and percentage last year. Ben and Pascal didn’t forget how to be all stars after one season. You can bring in other players to shoot, but these guys give you so much flexibility in lineups where you can surround a lot of them with other shooters, and having Ben and Zion creates space for others to shoot the ball because of their gravity…..much more so than Adams, Bledsoe, and Lonzo.

Player, you've only got one spot left on the floor after Ingram/Zion/Siakam/Simmons.
Even if you could manage to make it work, You basically have 4 max players. 30% + 30% + 30% + 30% is something that doesn't work.
I think you need to admit to yourself just how bad this idea is. You've created an extremely top heavy roster with way too much overlap and redundancy in their skills and abilities. If you have 4 max players they need to be a lot more versatile than the 4 you chose.

About as certain as anything ever.
It would be a total nightmare.

Like I said….it’s not ideal, but it’s looking more and more likely we are going to strike out on the major trade targets that are looking to be available next week, and it also looks like we are going to massively over pay for Kyle Lowry.
If we absolutely have to make the playoffs this year to appease Zion and his family(which on a side note, drives me crazy that the only reports of this are from “sources” and neither Zion, his agent, nor his family has said anything to prove it false)….then you have change the roster and win this year. Figure out how to change the roster afterwards if you can, but we can’t run out a similar roster next year.

Listen, I know it would not come together easily. I’m just throwing things out there based on players we can actually attain this offseason, because we aren’t bringing in any stars.
Bringing in both of those guys won’t happen and is unlikely.

Nice one lol
I know I’m a little off the rails with this, but I think that team is at least better than last year. Plus it gives you future flexibility while still maintaining most of your draft assets for trades.

I’m for either one of Simmons or Siakam but not both. That’s just crazy. We’d have to add a ton of shooting with either addition especially Simmons.

does miami want lonzo?
I cant see any interest in lonzo the man.
I can just see lonzo in drills with jimmy butler defending.

If you add Simmons, then you have to find out if you are starting Hayes and hope he starts shooting at a respectable clip.
If you add Siakam, then you have to add someone like Lowry or a proven point guard who can shoot.

They've been rumored to be interested in PG's all offseason, so I don't see why they wouldn't be interested in him

I don't see any good reason to sign and trade Lonzo for these scraps. If priceless are equal, I'd much prefer Lonzo over Robinson. I'd prefer Lonzo over Lowry if we're thinking long-term, which we always should be.
I can already tell Griff is gonna panic and make some really desperate moves. If we give up assets for 35 year old Lowry, we are so fricked.

How do you feel about Terry rozier?
Sign and trade ball and Bledsoe for scary terry and Malik monk
They get the ball Brothers under one roof. Rozier is in his final year and allows us monk who's good enough to replace hart on the bench. Allows naw into the starting lineup for length and defense.
