So? If Dumars takes over that's not a bold move. Eating Gentry's salary would require a bold move so I'd assume one of the parameters Loomis gives to Dumars is he has to work with Gentry. Also, Hammond, the guy rumored to be Dumars' GM of choice in the latest scenario was once Gentry's lead assistant. Between the money owed Gentry and bringing in a guy that no doubt has lots of knowledge and respect for Gentry, Dumars/Hammond doesn't scream Fire Gentry at all, if anything it probably easiest choice for replacing Demps and keeping Gentry. If Dumars/Hammond does happen I'd imagine one of the things Dumars sold himself on is the ability to bring in a GM in Hammond that would work with Gentry.

Can it honestly get any worse? for the last 3 to 4 years we gave away Draft picks like candy and signed ridiculously low IQ players. At this point, my expectations are so low almost any move is being stuck with this for another year.

I think Loomis is a huge problem. This is a seemingly directionless franchise headed for dumpster fire category. I don't want Dumars as GM but I like him better than Loomis as President if they aren't willing to make real changes.

I'm to the point where I'll take anyone who wont recklessly ship away our picks. That set us back so far imo.

The only move I really hated is re-signing Asik with Gentry here. Every other move Demps has made to me at least had some decent logic to it.

This was the first year that I found this team flat out un watchable. Hell, I had more fun during the 18 win season

Seriously. I probably watched 10 games all season. And I usually watch damn near all of them.

I haven't missed a minute of any games sine the invention of DVR.

I having sleeping issues so normally watch the games late night when I'm up.

Well, I have watched maybe 1 of the last 15 games, haven't missed a minute, even through speedy claxton and Dan dickau, but I just couldn't watch this crap this year. Something about it was worse than ever.

PS - Fire gentry. Injuries be damned, he is clearly not the one.

I really don't see the point of some of y'all pointing out that you couldn't be bothered to watch.

The team was not unwatchable this past month and a half(especially fraizer with how well he played) and the team gave good effort most every night.

Yeah it was a shitty season but who really gives a Frick if its fun to watch or not? I care more about results personally.

So are we not allowed to express our displeasure with the way things are going? I'll be the first to admit I have not been the worlds greatest fan this year. But it was not even about the result for me...I saw a bunch of players that (to me anyway) didn't seem to buy completely into Gentry system. it felt like they were more concerned about whining than playing half the time. Just hated the feel to this season. Didnt really get that vibe even in other down years.

Well, whenever you produce results it's generally more fun to watch. The opposite obviously applies. Not sure why you needed to bring this up.

Dan Dickau ran shite in 04-05. I probably watched about 50 of that team's games. Only watched about 40 this season.

Even when healthy, our players didn't much look like they cared. AD and Jrue will be a very nice duo for us, but we really need a top 2 pick this upcoming draft to turn this thing around.

Interpret it as you will

And I fully realize that nothing will happen until the Saints are done with the draft, if anything is done at all.

I have no problem with this thread, I was just trying to lower expectations because it's going to be a while.
