Why would the Wolves do this?

Agreed, I don't see why MIN would do this.

This season showed them they can work very well with the KAT/Gobert fit, so I don't see why they would opt to make a KAT for BI deal.

Plus, if anything, MIN is going to shed salary this season so this kind of swap just doesn't seem to make sense for them.

If they were to swap KAT for BI they would cut 13+ million in salary next season.

ETA: I'm not saying that they would do it, but it would give them some salary relief next season.

I'm with you. Go get Murray!!!
We haven't had a good point guard since RONDO

Going from CJ to Murray would be a downgrade and overall worse fit.

Supposedly part of the reason Glen Taylor decided to cancel the sale was Lore and Rodriguez had already submitted a budget proposal that had the team shedding salary to get under the tax, and Taylor wants to keep the team together

I thought it was b/c the franchise is now significantly more valuable than the sales price

I can convince myself with almost anyone. Especially with a younger asset. I just want change

There’s going to be chance this offseason because it’s clear they are not running back Jonas and there is no answer on the roster.

The question becomes is it small change or thermonuclear

IMO upgrading from Jaden McDaniels while saving salary is a win from them. Have Naz Reid on a solid contract and now have some breathing room to get a back-up 4/5 or a starter and keep Reid coming off the bench with some versatility.

Not saying the Wolves would easily due it, but not crazy that they would consider it especially if we throw a pick or 2 at them.

I was hesitant with Murray. But seeing how he can take over games after Trae makes me want him. I know he took 44 shots against Boston, but that game winner made it all worth it

2) Hawk Offensively is light years better than Jose.

I'm not so sure about that. The reason this team bogs down when Zion if off the court is because we don't have another ball handler. That's why when Jose came in last night, the offense started actually clicking. I don't know why Willie is blind to this. He keeps trying to force CJ and BI into the ball handling role but it doesn't work.

The team has plenty of 3 point shooters (CJ, Trey, Herb, Hawk, Ryan), but only two people who can be a floor general. One of those two is Jose. He pushes pace when he should, he penetrates and kicks, he can actually run a pick and roll, he just makes the offense more fluid.
