It matters for his longevity

We heard this for every injury. It's never mattered.
It makes a lot of sense here though. If they had anything medical to say, it seems like they would have said it.
"He had a set back but he's going to keep rehabbing hard"
"He had less progress than expected but we're still hopeful"
"He's healed and will start the ramp up process"
They didn't say any of that. They did mention the conditioning though.

He was never going to come back.
You all have been duped.
You all have been duped.

Adam Silver needs to step in and force Zion out at this point for “basketball reasons.”

They are treating the fans like idiots is what they’re doing. Frick them.

Griff missed his calling as a politician. Clown franchise.

Seriously? How about when you give an official update, you actually give an update? Is that really too much to ask for?
What update, other than he’s returning to play, would have made any difference or made anyone feel better? He’s not going to give time estimates again after what blew up in his face last year. He’s not going to say Zion is out of shape. Not sure what y’all are expecting here.

His hammy is healed but he's not in game condition so he's going to hit the gym until he's game ready
The addition of "and conditioning" in the statement gave me that feeling
I agree, and I’m definitely not usually one of those “Zion is a big fatass” guys.
My question now is, why have Willie tease us and say the next update might say he’s cleared to play immediately? If this is the “update” we’re getting today with no timetable, then there’s absolutely 0% chance he was ever going to be ready to play right now.

I see how that is confusing. I mean out of NOLA.
Zion is 23 and averages 28 games per season. He is almost older than his average games played. That’s mental.

Part of rehab is conditioning. Why has he not been conditioning with Nelson and staff? This is my problem. It’s not like pro athletes are going in for treatment 2x a week for one hour like normal people. These guys are under the care of the rehab professionals for hours per day. We are 14 weeks post initial injury and 6-7 weeks post setback. Why in the hell has he not been conditioning with the team staff??? Either way, this is terrible mismanagement.

Fat Zion is better than no Zion.
If he plays 15 minutes and is puking, so what..
That becomes Zion's problem, not the organization. The ridicule may help.
But simply put, if the injury is healed, at this point in the season, you have to play him.

Why did no one press him in on that bullshite response?
Posted on 4/6/23 at 6:02 pm to Large Farva
Because it was just a release. No conference. Griff is a pussy and refuses to show his face and answer the questions. Not that our pussy media would even question him

If that fat frick for the Grizzlies can play last night, Zion can play.

Maybe that's his way of calling out Griff's mismanagement and/or Zion's immaturity.

I’m with you! I just don’t get why ppl are blaming the FO and training staff. Zion doesn’t prepare and isn’t a professional.
How much more evidence do you need to see?!?! How many times must the point be made?!?! It’s him.

The fans who stuck by this franchise deserve better… we deserve honesty… frick this clown FO for hiding things from us…
