he'll get a 2 yr max with an opt-out and stay with heat. what will be interesting is what bosh will do. wades not going anywhere...heat basically owe him $40MM (his opt out)

haslem also has to be made whole

so:
james
wade
bosh (?)
mcbob
granger
cole
napier
haslem

then a puu puu platter of whatever FA's they bring back or sign, or scrap together. i know i keep saying it, but bosh should flee immediately

I believe so. I've never heard of anyone's salary increasing with cap increases.

The percentage is based upon the initial years' cap, then annual increases are either 7.5% (Bird Exception) or 4.5% (regular free agent).

He was never expected to play. It's usually only rookies, sophomores and guys fighting to make rosters.

Forward Luke Babbitt, a likely trade piece for the Pelicans, was a no show for the second consecutive day at Pelicans' mini-camp.
Gotta mean they already have something worked out, right?

Otherwise, why sit a guy out?

He tears the summer league up. I think if anything it would raise his trade value. He should be considered fighting for a roster spot with all that he's proved. Worst rookie season in history of nba

Could the Pelicans be a landing spot for sf Bennett from the Cavs since he's rumored to be on the Trading Block to make more cap space

EG for him and cap space would be the only reason I would want to take him, id rather the defense and rebounding of Aminu than Bennett

The choices have always been:

1 Trade Gordon
2 Trade Ryno
3 Trade (Rivers or S&T FA) + scrubs including Babbit

3 was always the most likely to happen.

3-4 tweeners like Bennett rarely work out well in the NBA.

Bennett's also arguably the worst 1st overall pick in the modern era, since Klay Thompson's dad Mycah Thompson.

I'm seeing rumors that Morey has reached out to Deng because they are worried Bosh is staying, but I can't find it from a credible source. It's been credited to Sam Amico but I don't see anything about it in his twitter. Woj says Bosh's people and the Rockets are talking a lot today

Communication flowing between Chris Bosh camp and Rockets today, preparing for landing spot should LeBron James leave, sources tell Yahoo.
