Word is both Heat and OKC Thunder are chasing Morrow. As was Orlando, I'm told, until Magic secured their deal with Ben Gordon as well

We all know he's gone.
I'm just hoping that Dell has more tricks up his sleeve.

In addition to them taking Morrow, the contenders don't have the cap space to turn him into a S&T 3 way for Asik.

bastards. Maybe a non-contender will offer him a big deal.

Don't think we can S&T him. No Bird rights since it was just a one-year contract, thanks to him opting out.

That is correct, we don't have his bird rights.

I believe we can use our MLE to sign and trade Morrow. We would be able to retain Rivers etc and our bird rights players at least.

Another guy's career pulled out of the trash can by Dell Demps. Same with Belinelli.

ESPN has learmed that Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks have agreed to terms on three-year deal
Dirk always likely to be first major free agent to decide. Sources say sides agreed today to three-year pact believed to be in $30M ballpark

A correction to what I said earlier, Trade Machine says OKC has a $6.5 million trade exception from Kevin Martin, so we could use our MLE on Morrow in a S&T to OKC as part of the 3 way for Asik.

The Heat have $60 million of actual cap room at the moment. They can sign a bunch of guys and then bring back the Big 3 with Bird Rights; it just depends on how much luxury tax Miami is willing to spend.

Clippers going after Smiht apparently. He and Griffin on the same team would be interesting

Does not compute. You have cap holds for your Bird Rights FAs. If they plan to sign them with Bird Rights, then they don't have $60 million in cap space.

That would let us take Dudley back to be the shooting SF and then we'd have the MLE available to use in a S&T of Morrow to balance out the Asik trade.

I'm just as doubtful as you. All we can do is hope everyone stays healthy and Monty loosens up a bit. I'm not going to hold my breath on the latter.
