Getting Dudley would be a good move for the Pels IMO. He obviously didn't fit with the Clippers' plans, so I could see them giving him up.

Someone signed Roberts? And Gordon still has one of the worst contracts in the entire NBA, far from a decent shot.

Statistics show that Gordon can actually make your team worse. I don't know if that level of desperation is possible.

So far, without getting Gordon gone and only getting Asik (that is a big get no doubt) it feels halfass.
If gordon doesnt go, i'm gonna turn in my Pelicans logo and go back to LSU after next season if the Pels dont make the playoffs. The Pels will end up being the next bucks, bobcats, etc.. forever stuck in small market hell.

I never really bought them for Monroe, especially if it was to give up Batum. Seems more like Monroe's agent trying to create a market. Not saying they should be happy about rolling with Lopez and Kaman, but, like the Pelicans, they need a defensive difference maker at C and depth. Monroe hasn't been that guy so far in his career.

I'm still trying to figure out where LeBron would go. A lot of the speculation from the beginning seems to have been that this was a power play to make DWade take a big paycut, and I saw one journalist tweet something like "Why can't Miami offer DWade just $5 million, who else will offer him more?" Opting out really was risky for DWade because while Bosh and LeBron will have other teams throwing the max at him, he won't. The question is, how much will Miami screw it's longtime franchise player?
Also, I don't know how true it is, but I've heard the Players Union doesn't want LeBron taking anything less than the full max because it will weaken their case in the next CBA negotiations. If LeBron has to take $20 for political reasons, and Bosh starts at $15, DWade really is going to have to take a hit for the Miami Big 3 to stay together.

PHX, Houston, Dallas all make more on court sense than Miami at this point. Chicago too, but I doubt he has little desire to play there. Feels like he wants to stay and is giving Riley time to show him something.

Interesting. Do you have a link? Not doubting just curious. I would think LeBron taking less than the max would drive owners crazy. Players are getting 50% BRI regardless- just more money for less worthy guys. Everyone knows he is a worth at least 2x the max. Giving up a little bit doesn't change that. Now if he does something nuts like play for mid level, I can see some reservations.
