Some people are starting to speculate that LeBron may leave Miami because there's a story that says Bosh and Wade don't know what LeBron is going to do and the Heat missed their top 2 targets when Lowry signed with Toronto and Deng said he wouldn't take a pay cut to go to Miami. Where would LeBron go though? Anywhere East > Anywhere West if winning is the top priority. Would he really go to Chicago and play even more in Jordan's shadow?

I haven't seen it rumored, but he could possibly go to Washington. They have a good young core.

The Pheonix situation sounds enticing, but I don't think it will happen.

Bledsoe/Dragic/Lebron/Melo/Plumlee + bench depth

That would be the best option if he wanted to go west IMO.

Phoenix would be a good fit.

I've been all about Budenholzer and the Hawks for a while. Zach Lowe has been trumpeting this in his last couple of columns: Atlanta is a sneaky awesome fit for him. LeBron surrounded by shooters at every position in that offense would be glorious. Plus they have frontcourt size in Horford and Antic.

how would Monroe/Davis/Asik even work? it makes no sense

Batum-Parsons-Deng /Davis/Asik

would be harmonious though.

i dont care, I would like Luol on this team too.

Bourbon Street Shots has learned that Dell Demps has explored some options that will allow him to complete the trade for Omer Asik while kicking his core in place.

Basically S&T Aminu, Smith or Roberts + voidables, a 3rd, less palatable option is using part of our MLE to S&T Morrow. You basically screw yourself out of keeping Morrow and getting a SF. Although if you can't dump Gordon and can get a guy like Richard Jefferson for the remainder of the MLE or your BiAnnual Exception, it might be the least destructive way to obtain Asik.

This means nothing at all. Oh, he's explored options? Cool.

I did too, on Trade Machine.

Whispers are already out there, @ZachLowe_NBA, about Indy trying to pull in Boston to construct some sort of multi-team deal involving Rondo

So Rondo to Phoenix, Dragic to Indy, George Hill and filler to? Would Boston really want George Hill? Would 3/$24 for a backup PG be better than 2/$30 for Gordon?

I guess so, but I suppose it could be part of an effort to move on from Lance too. I saw one rumored off record quote from Indy about Lance rejecting the contract saying "If it's not enough, it's not enough." I'm not sure how to read that. Are they saying they need to offer more, or are they saying "oh well, we gave our best offer and it didn't work out."

Why does Phoenix want Rondo over Dragic?

They probably don't, Indy is pipe dreaming of George Hill for Dragic and trying to scheme a way to get there.

Boston is the weird part. Moving Rondo means blowing it up.

I could see PHX getting Stephenson + Green, Indy getting Rondo, but not sure what Boston wants with Dragic. I guess Dragic + picks? Smart, Bradley, Dragic is a nice back court.

Lowe and others have guessed that Hibbert might be on the move too.

Seems like they've been pretty aggressive going after Love. If they still think it's possible, I don't know how moving Rondo makes them more appealing. Also rumblings that Stevens isn't down for a long rebuild and might bolt for a plum NCAA job if they go into tank mode.

They do have all these future Nets picks (unprotected 2016, swap in 2017, and unprotected in 2018) that look much, much better after the Kidd fiasco.

Well I think before it was blow it up and rebuild around Rondo. Now they're starting completely from scratch.

ETA: what he said ^^^
