Relative to the Meeks & Ben Gordon deals 3yr/$16 mil isn't bad for Collison.

MLE for a fringe starter is fair value, but he was on a minimum deal last year, and not because he had some fall from grace. He's been pretty consistent in his level of play from day 1.

Indy wouldn't want rondo. They need shooting not less shooting lol

Kings intend to create room for Collison's non-taxpayer mid-level deal by waiving and stretching a player, source says.

Stretching Jason Terry would make sense. $5.5 stretched over 3 years would be $1.8 You might be able to get it under $1.5 per year if he gets picked up by someone while the guard prices are still high.

I wouldn't mind JT if we can't resign A Mo

If BBS is accurate on this:
Then it appears we are prepared to add Asik, a few vet minimum role players and thats it.
Doesn't look like we are going to do anything else.
I'm just reading between the lines, but if he does that, it means he explored bigger trades and couldn;t make it work.
So we roll with Gordon and basically don't do anything of note. C'est le vie

We hit on filling the hole at 5, we need to hit on filling the 3 as well. If the players or value/market isn't there this year, a stop gap veteran like Richard Jefferson or Sefolosha is fine with me.

i don't mind it. may be an opportunity to move Gordon before the deadline, if need be. but i'm praying for him to win MIP.
just need health this season.

I think they will just go with Tyreke at 3 starting. I am very pessimistic, IF they go the route as detailed in BBS, that they do anything at all. Looks to me that they aren't thrilled with the market.
We will see. Still a lot of time for things to shake out.

Sebastian Telfair confirms he has agreed to one-year, minimum deal with the Thunder. He's excited to play with their superstars and compete.
Been a while since I heard that name

He was out of the league last year.

That Through the Fire show on Telfair was balling

If we do this, what do we do at the 3? We're not just thing there, we literally have no 3 on the roster. I guess you could add a minimum guy, but Jesus, that would mean downgrading from AFA, if that's even possible

Given the current guard market, we may be able to get out from Gordon's contract without taking on bad assets in the process.
Given that the only guard signing so far that I see as being respectable is Livingston to Golden State, someone who strikes out on FAs will take Gordon as a consolation prize because, honestly, his contract isn't that bad compared to some of these deals.

I'm just saying IF the BBS article is accurate and they go that route to fit in Asik.
If they trade Gordon, they wouldn't have to go that route, presumably.

Asik changes the equation a bit. We no longer need a ton of rebounding and can get away with less defense. Shooting really becomes the primary skill set. I think he could be a casualty of making room for Asik, but I didn't think James Southerland looked that bad in limited minutes.
