So where exactly are the Bulls - Gasol is in. As reported last week, Boozer is headed for amnesty with no interested teams.....

Think Bulls would have any interest in a Boozer for EG swap.... I mean if it works out (health wise) they are pretty much guaranteed to win the east. Maybe we try and work Snell out of the deal.

They want to trade Boozer to eliminate salary, trading Boozer for Gordon doesn't do that. (Well not very much)

Find a 3rd team for Gordon. Let Patric develop under Boozer. Boozer is a major upgrade over any front court player we had aside from Ryno and AD.

This is false

Boozer is washed up and our frontcourt is set with AD/Asik/Ryno.

What Lobos said...

Plus Boozer is 1 of the few players that is actually worse in the post season than he is in the regular season. Usually a player takes it up a level in the playoffs... Boozer takes it down a notch.

Okay, I see the issues here. It seems like some think our guys are worth more than they really were. And I gotta say, those of us at BSS were shocked when we heard how little value Rivers had around the league. And again, the S&T routes were ideal and Dell went after some, but there is a reason that they are extremely uncommon. Go ahead - let me know how many S&T's of bench players there were this season. Was there even 1? And now the Pelicans alone are going to do 2 or 3?

From MM in a thread on PR basically confirming that no, we couldn't even give Rivers away and didn't find any S&T takers either. I just hope they're holding onto Roberts rights for a S&T, not for a Sign and Keep.

We renounced Smiht and Aminu to clear cap space, but didn't renounce Roberts. We still had his Bird rights, likely with the hope that we could find a team to S&T him to.

Charlotte just basically traded for Scotty Hopson's contract, with the intent to waive him. If we can get Hopson in a sign and trade for Roberts we can add Hopson to the Asik deal without losing any of our core players

there you go
Roberts to Charlotte for hopson
hopson ely and gee plus the pick to rox for asik

I don't know how that affects Houston's desire to sign and trade for ariza...it might be a 4 teamer with a pick going to wash
