I just like Sullinger as an on-the-court fit but I see what you're saying...
What about Jordan Hill?
What about Jordan Hill?

Willie Reed is quite intriguing
19.2 PER and was very productive despite not many minutes
15/10 per 36 on 57% FG

He has some past, off-the-court history...he's a good player but it would seem to against the culture they are trying to create this off-season.

Again, I want young, hungry guys who never had guaranteed minutes before- so they will run through a wall to be a part of a rotation. And if they get kicked out of the rotation, they won't pout or throw a fit

Sullinger and Gibson are still my 1A and 1B
But I'm intrigued by...
Jordan Hill
Tyler Hansbrough
Jeff Ayres
James Johnson
James Michael McAdoo
I know those names don't truly fit what you're looking for, per se, but I think those are names the team would look into...do need some proven guys to fall back on

So I guess we wait on Miami to make a decision on Tyler Johnson to see where the next chips fall...nets officially signed him to an offer sheet this morning

I think you're confusing "guard who can shoot" with shooting guard.

Wow, I forgot about Hansrough, he would add some toughness. I do not like him, but I would like him on our team. Sometimes you need that type of player
McAdoo looked ok from the limited time I saw him play for GS.

It's only 5.6 this year, 5.8 next year, then it jumps to over 18 and 19 in the final 2 years respectively.

Did Hill have off-court issues at some point? The $2M for good behavior seemed odd to me, but maybe that's being misinterpreted.

With the Bulls bringing in Wade, I don't see the attraction on their part to moving Gibson.

At this point it looks like Heat need guard help, so a McRoberts for Evans trade is gaining traction.

Was that actually the incentive? I saw it described as unrealistic to be reached incentives in one report and thought the good behavior comment was just a joke.

It could have been. I'm just going off of one comment I read here. It wouldn't be the first time I missed a joke. That's why I was asking, though.

I'm not sure how I feel about that. McRoberts is a 9 year vet that can't get substantial minutes. The Heat have cap room for Tyreke, so they don't need to send anything back other than picks. I think I'd rather a 2nd than McRoberts who may very well pick up his option for next year.
ETA - McRoberts will actually end up owed more money than Evans if he picks up his option. Does he make more than $6M on the open market as an end of bench player? If not, he opts in and you are stuck with his salary ruining shite next summer.

I agree. I would rather have a fake pick. I think you can get a better big for that same 5 million. But if the Heat said McRoberts- take it or leave it; I would take it. If he could be the McRoberts from the 2 or 3 years ago, he's an ideal fit in a Gentry system.

I would think McBob opts out just short of his knees exploding again.
Given the cap situation, he could probably get 3 years $3-4m per year provided he can get on the court.
