The Pels have the 1st, 2nd, and likely 3rd best player between the two teams. How do you figure? WCS showed flashes last year but he's not there yet. Ditto with Buddy. Hill vs Holiday is an intriguing discussion but it's pretty obvious which player the league valued more in free agency regardless of the now obvious Pels overpay.

The only teams that are clearly ahead of us in the west are GSW, HOU, SAS, and Ill say MIN

LAC, OKC, POR, MEM, DEN, and Pels are all in the same tier. But I think OKC and the Pelicans are the best to come out of this group

SAC, UTAH (without Hayward), DAL, LAL, and PHX will not be in playoff contention

MIN

Considering they don't have anyone that can efficiently shoot 3's, I'd say we are on the same tier with them. They have a lot of mismatched talent.

Good for Boston. And the West.

Yeah, so much for Thibs year long pilgrimage across the league where he roundly concluded amongst other things, how important the three point shot is, he has instead settled on trying to see if a 1995 style basketball team can win in 2017.

That is definitely a downplayed thing with Minny. Great talent, no good shooters.

Inb4 Brmark says Utah is still better than us.

They have absolutely zero spacing. Their defense is going to be nasty though, guess that's the plan.

I honestly think Marcus Smart would be a good fit

Hill/Fox > Holiday/Cook?
Hield/Bogdanovic > Moore/Crawford
Porter or Vince Carter/Jackson > Hill/Poindexter
Randolph/Giles/Skal < Davis/Cunningham/Diallo
WCS/Koufos/Pap < Cousins/Asik/Ajinca

By my count, the Kings have the edge at 3 out of 5 positions and are much deeper, younger and faster. Hill, Randolph and whoever they sign at the 3 are playoffs savvy vets. I think that the Kings have the edge now or at least right there with them..

That puts one of either Bradley or Crowder on the outs. Moore plus a future first for Bradley might be doable.

Great. Now please rank the best players from both teams now that the defection is out of the way.

And it's also been established they don't have the money to max Porter now.
