Ah, great response.

I was wondering when the deadline was to make that decision.

The Grizz have too many players. They supposedly are looking to move Troy Daniels for a 2nd. Could the Pels maybe get him for just cash considerations?

Sources: The Memphis Grizzlies have signed No. 45 overall pick Dillon Brooks of Oregon to a three-year rookie deal, w/ two years guaranteed.

Grizzlies have a lot of players under contract. Brooks makes 17. If you still count in Green that makes 18. Something has to give eventually

Do players they send to G league count? I would think they wouldn't have to be under the limit until the start of the season, right? Don't teams have more than 15 going into camp?

They have 2 new "2 way" roster spots for guys that will spend most of the year in the GLeague. But they make a lot less money and can only be called up to the NBA 45 days a year so it is most likely going to be used on UDFAs. They just signed Brooks to a regular contract which takes up one of the regular 15 roster spots.

Can carry 20 in the off-season. Once season starts you can have 15+ 2 two-way contracts.

at this point, i'm kinda glad they found no takers for asik, especially if it was gonna cost a 1st + something

just stretch his arse and end this misery

once done, 11MM becomes 3.5MM and they can use their TPE and stay under the tax. DET stretched josh smith, and he could still play

Troy Daniel's 2016-17 Player Grade from SB Nation

so take this for what its worth but according to this, it sounds like Troy Daniels is basically Jordan Crawford. Yea when you look at Memphis' lineup Troy Daniels is the best option for us to offload from them but if he plays defense as bad as this article suggests then whatever great shooting he brings will be negated.

Troy Daniels can shoot, but he couldn’t stop a player on defense if he had the scorebook and the pencil.

Afflalo remains my first choice for the shooter we pick up. I know he's a good bit older from his 2 way glory days, but he'll be a lot closer to a 2 way player than the other options we have.

Stretch (hopefully with discount) is what I hope for...

As to Afflalo - he had little guarantee this season before being waived. Maybe he will come 4 cheap

I'm not in favor of stretching Asik either.

Having money for SEVEN YEARS that amounts to two rookies or a non-injured level QPon player every year.

frick that. Dell made that bed, make him lay in it. No 1st round picks to dump Asik. No stretch. Eat it, Dell.

we should have Omri Casspi (still sore about that) and if we signed Afflalo too then we truly wouldve been the Peli-Kings

It's interesting. Obviously we don't have the means to get him.

Denver is the team to watch out for there IMO...they have a ton of assets they can move

Wilson Chandler, Jameer Nelson, & Will Barton plus pick for Kyrie would be interesting
