Yeah this doesn't feel like it'll be resolved until near the weekend
Here's a probable clippers leak:

Seems similar to other team bloggers but he's been featured

Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers shared mutual interest during the meeting, it went well, however, there is no definitive answer in whether he’ll leave Toronto, per source

The chances of Kawhi joining the Clippers are elevating and continuing to rise, especially after this meeting

Philly is gonna bump up the salary to 170. At 168mil he’d be making less than Jamal Murray which would probably piss off Simmons

Just posted this to the NBA subreddit. It was deleted with the quickness but not before 13 Lakers fans threw doubt on the whole thing. They are so scared

Jesus every time I step away from this thread for a bit it is 5 pages longer when I check back in.

As much as I want him to sign with Toronto or the Clip Show right now, this being a protracted mess helps drop the floor of what the Lake Show gets if Kawhi doesn’t come.

I just want more and more players coming off the market. So they are left with Boogie, Melo, & Rondo
Like I highly doubt Iggy gets bought out. Either we or someone else will trade for him before that happens. He's got too much experience, he's a good locker room presence, & his defense is still pretty good

Iggy is waiting for the Lakers. That seems inevitable. Hopefully good hustle guys like Faried get signed soon.
Rondo is probably waiting as well for the Lakers. Doubt he’ll go anywhere else

Why is he waiting on the Lakers?
He just spent the last 5 season on the biggest superteam in history and got 3 rings.
At this point, I think his motivation is either cash or being in the best situation for him as a player, not ring chasing.

I’m fine with Rondo to the Lakers. I just want better guys to sign elsewhere to they have to settle for a lot of close to washed up guys.

imo I think that it's highly unlikely he becomes a laker. too many teams will want him and trade for him. meanwhile Memphis has the incentive to get something for him as opposed to just buying him out
sure he could threaten to retire, but I feel like that's a very very low probability

mavs re sign DFS, now up to 23MM in cap space
Posted on 7/2/19 at 12:30 pm to cgrand
They are also supposedly trying to get Iggy

@BobbyMarks42
The restricted free agent market is lukewarm as cap space begins to shrink- one option for a player like Kelly Oubre Jr., Delon Wright or Tyus Jones is to bet on themselves and sign the Qualifying Offer. Would enter 2020 unrestricted and in a average at best free agent market.

I thought they had around $22 mil going into today?
DFS drops it to $18? no?

Absolutely. This FA season has been very predictable for some and crazy for others. If you had told me before it started that Kanter would get 5 million a year, I would’ve believed you. If you would’ve told me that Randle would get 20, I could see it happening. But I would’ve never guessed a scenario where they’d get 5 and 20 in the same offseason.
Then again, I should already have known we entered into an alternate reality when Rozier got 58 guaranteed
