I’m also hearing Kyrie to LA, despite yesterday’s story being Kyrie and KD to Brooklyn.
Kyrie’s older than AD and a few cans short of a six pack, so I would be fine with him there.

Kyrie of the big named FA not named Butler is who I hope goes to LAL.
Dude is often injured and he's nuts, and super high usage.

Rally concerned that Lakers about the make another huge move. I would not think they cleared the contracts just to add 2-3 good role players. They have a good idea that they are about to add another max player. Hoping Kwahi does not pull a KD and go there to form a Big 3.

Wherever Kawhi goes, he is going to do a 1+1 so he can get a max at the 10 year veteran scale in a few years.
I wouldn’t worry directly about him this year because it doesn’t effect our picks.
I would get far more nervous if he liked his time there and wanted to stay in 2 years as LeBron’s about to come off the books.

I didn't even know there was a rumor let alone "confirmed".

That is the trade I can see happening.
I’m thinking they will have to attach whatever Ainge gave up in order to move Gordon and Tucker if they aren’t taking back salary.

Still depends on how much salary they need to move to make it happen.
Capela is about $14-16m depending on how you calculate his bonuses. Gordon is making $14m.
To take in Butler, whose contract is probably $35m, you need to send out about $32m. Which means Tucker has to go because he is the only other salary of consequence.
This is because Houston, as of this second, is above the cap at $119m before any move of Capela or Gordon.

yes, PHI has to get something good or they will just let him walk if he wont re-sign with them. they do not want salary coming back in any butler transaction, as this will be the last time they have cap space for a long time
for example, they could S/T butler to HOU, getting a 1st back, then use their cap space to replace him (bojan?), then go over the cap to re-sign tobias. looking ahead they'd have another asset (opr a player on rookie deal), and they can go further over the cap to re-sign simmons

butler counts 20MM going out but 32MM coming in. so HOU has to send out 30MM or so (gordon & capela)

to me the only way:
HOU trades capela to BOS for a 1st (MEM?)
PHI signs butler using bird rights.
PHI trades butler to HOU, 1st goes to PHI, gordon goes to team 3, team 3 sends a fake pick to PHI

Rip those future laker picks and them having any value. At least we got Langdon and his ability to find good talent in those spots

I'm seeing absolutely NOTHING about this
If Boston is signing Kemba, they cant get Capela unless they are sending alot of salary out IE Smart
I dont see them sending Smart for Capela

A lot can happen in a few years.
AD’s contract is expiring.
LeBron is aging.
The Lake Show could miss out on stars and get role players, or could sign a star who either implodes or who doesn’t like being the second or third banana behind an aging LeBron.
Even if they win in the short term, they still have Jeannie Buss as owner and Rob Pelinka as GM/POBO, both of whom are idiots.

Lakers wind up with Kyrie. 3 injury prone Superstars and no depth at any other position. They are guaranteed to miss 25-30 games combined.
I'd take my chances on the Pelicans getting the better end in the long run. That first pick might not be anything special though.

The first pick we get will be in the “double draft”, so whatever we get is probably better than a normal late 20s pick.

Windhorst saying Sixers and Kings are going to surprise bidders for Horford.
A lot of smoke around Horford going to Philly today.
