Younger but his body is already betraying him regularly, not better though.

Want proof, how many non-Lebron teams has AD led deep into the playoffs?

he's only had 2 years with lebron and he was playing for a dysfunctional franchise that seems cursed with injuries previously

The question was about cost for Dame.

You don’t have to like it, I don’t like that I didn’t buy more into Bitcoin last year and now it’s double, I also don’t think it’s a good super long term investment, but that’s the market.

A borderline top 5 player that you are guaranteed for 4 years and can’t, unless he retires, has no real way to poison the well of a bidding war. And a bidding war will happen.

Just think of the teams that will throw big assets around for the shot at Dame.

If Pels want to win that war it won’t come cheap

Lillard as a whole hasn’t been good in the playoffs

The last time the Pels won a series, AD swept Lillard lol

Like what? You can’t completely deplete your team for Lillard.

The Pels are probably the only team that could really give them a star player, take on Lillards contract, and not decimate their team.

AD is part of that problem, and you can’t ignore that when judging players.

And when healthy, for a 7 game series, give me Lillard over AD every time.

Lillard impacts the game way more and raises both your floor and ceiling much higher.

AD still ultimately can’t be your best player all season and needs another playmaker to truly maximize AD’s effectiveness

to Evil Jrue

Lillard has become a different player since that series imo.

Are you asking who will be going in for someone like Lillard?

Any team that isn’t currently in the conference finals and wants to be in the next few seasons.

I don’t know how this place of all places can’t grasp the new cost of superstars?

Funny, only two years into being with a new team and missed half last season, only be in-usable in the playoffs. Interesting.

I think Dame’s game will age pretty well though. I’m not afraid of paying that contract.

who? i don't think the list is as long as you think

Miami for sure if they want in. but their young asset isn't worth nearly as much as our's

Brooklyn, LAC, LAL, MIL, CHI etc. already blew their loads

I supposed the Suns could if they fall short this year. Ayton is worth more than BI

I don't think the 76ers have the juice

Nuggets? i'd say they would be the primary competition. Murray is a comparable asset to BI, too

MAYBE the warriors but that doesn't seem like it could work

Would love this. This team has needed an alpha for a long time. That firey competitor that can light a fire under teammates asses, lead by example and hold teammates accountable. Of course we still need to build around them so we have to get that without giving up too much.

It is an interesting trade. But I'm not wanting Lillard. He is much older and swapping him with Ingram doesn't really move the needle for me. It doesn't make us better, lateral move. I think Portland would be better though. Ingram is a great fit with that roster..

And yet after that series, AD still plotted his escape from New Orleans after a hard fought series against the most talented team of all time in Golden State. Started 4-0 the next season, until he began to sit out with common bruises and when he did play was playing BI level bad in the clutch to the point where it felt like he was point shaving, because AD had been a pretty clutch player up to that point in his career. And then he demanded a trade under the guise that he had no help. Keep in mind this team had AD, Jrue, Niko Mirotic, and Julius Randle.

And on the other hand, Dame buckled down, improved and arguably took a worse Blazers team than the one that was swept to the WCF the next season.

Dame is worth more than AD. He has always had been. He’s always had the more mature game, been a far better leader of men and a game more suited for the nba, Yeah, he’s older on paper but he’s always been and AD is the one with injury problems. And there is such a skill gap between the 2 players that AD is more likely to flame out at age 31 than Dame bc he mostly relies on athleticism, whereas Dame’s game is skill and in more recent years, IQ based.

I mean at some point you have to pay to play. We’re gonna have to go into the tax maybe even as soon as this off-season. And why wouldn’t you do it? You’re trying to get this thing off the ground man. Can’t go at it scared.
