I'm surprised Weaver wasn't all over that considering the DMV connection

And honestly, it’s not that I think Whitmore is the next big thing… I just think he’s better than Jalen Green and Whitmore wasn’t given an opportunity to really develop.

Bradley Beal is negotiating a buyout with the Suns, they will waive and stretch him and avoid the tax altogether while now having their full MLE available to use.

I think that is like 3 different things (buyout, waive, stretch). They can only pick one.

Did the Blaxers not do this exact scenario with Ayton?

A buyout is basically renegotiation of the salary which is what they are doing as Beal is giving 14 million or so back.

A stretch and waive is pretty standard, Milwaukee just did it with Dame.

So in this scenario they’re combining it all into one transaction

Offseason? When is that? Just had finals and they playing summer league. It’s all year round BS during baseball and football seasons.

You can't stretch a player without waiving him.

You can do a simple buyout of his contract. You can simply waive a player (but still have his regularly scheduled guaranteed money on your books) or you can waive & stretch a player - he's no longer on your team, but you can stretch out his contract so the cap hit is smaller each year, but longer overall.

Expecting this front office to be at the forefront of any smart moves is probably wishful thinking

There has to be some hidden story with Whitmore that explains why he fell in the draft and why he still seems so undervalued now. I just don't know what it is.

Ball stopper. Doesn't like to pass the ball. Tunnel vision when he's on the floor. High usage for a guy playing limited minutes. Bad body language when he not getting what he feels is enough minutes or touches. His defensive effort is all over the place and is predicated on if he's getting offensive touches and minutes. He's a bad fit for teams that have an established hierarchy and there's no wiggle room to fit him into a significant role.

A lot of his issues can he correctable but he needed to go somewhere he can get consistent minutes and where winning isn't the absolute #1 priority so that he can a lot of playing time to develop as one of the top 3 options and hopefully improve the other aspects of his game. He has to learn how to play team ball or he's going to be out of the league ala Christian Wood.

He’s probably going to be our HC coach before the end of the season.

The Suns are retarded. Booker ain't it and they just committed to paying him $75M when he's 33.
