False.

Dude was picking Lukas shite and making plays all over before his ankle injury. He has a shot to be better than Herb.

Dyson rookie highlights

Dudes got more in his bag offensively than Herb

Okay and Herb has 20x the defensive bag as it sits right now. Herb is also AVAILABLE. Played every game as a rookie. Has shown flashes of a 3pt shot especially after March last year he really started making shots.

Herb at 4/52 is a steal. And good for him. Am always happy when good things happen to good people.

I bet Herb keeps driving the same car and wearing nothing but free Pels gear that the training staff gives him.

I don’t agree.

I’m playing DA here but I’m also looking at the numbers crunch

What else does he give you?

Great defender. Complete zero on offense. And he’s old. All that’s great when you’re making 2nd round money. When you’re almost paying the Lux and he’s making 13 it becomes a concern.

I’d take guys who are good defenders but much better offensively.

And mostly, I want to shame and force Willie into starting Trey.

He's the best cutter on the team, which is a valuable skill set. He certainly has limitations but he's arguably the smartest offensive player on our team imo.

He's just a touch under league average scoring efficiency so he really isn't bringing us down offensively as much as some think while providing elite wing defense.

probably not. they can decline the option and sign him to a better deal

Yeah much better to try and angle to get him cheaper long term now than delay it and he plays even better next year and we might not be able to afford him.

Those guys will cost you $25mil+ and a shite ton of capital to obtain.

He’s been drastically better than Dyson offensively to this point. He’s older than Dyson to be sure, but still. No way you watch Herb and don’t see the slashing, decision making, finishing, etc. And while he’s so far hovered at 33.5% from three, I believe he can and will be league average there.

I personally think Herb can start for a championship team. For sure the rest of the team has to be good, but he’s a smart and winning player IMO.

Fun Bunch just think elite two way players fall out the sky for 4/52???

You gotta let Herb develop his shot. His defense and availability is too good to let go.

Teams consistently played 4-5 when we were on offense last year.

Look, I’m playing Devils Advocate here. I like Herb.

But I’ve had the same position for almost a year now. I look at the numbers crunch and the starting lineup and he seems like the easiest person (besides Jonas) to lose to me. You’ve already drafted a better player (Trey) and a replacement with substantially more upside.

I don’t think he finished a 4 year contract with us.

Do people think we are really keeping CJ long term?

Of all the players mentioned for trades, I never see him come up. He is older and more expensive and plays where we have a glut of young talent.

He’s not a 2 way player at all.

He’ll be 25 when the season starts. He’s not young.

You’ve already got a guy that already has the shot, has elite length and offensive upside, and is decent defensively.

We may have to choose in 2 years.

Again I’m just paying Devils Advocate here. In actuality I sign him to that deal. But it’s with the intention of trading him in 1-3 years with the salary.

It'll be CJ, and we have years to move him and still be ok financially.

And I love CJ as a person and player. But when trying to position long term he is obviously one that should go to keep the young core intact.

Blame good drafting at the guard and wing positions for that.

And I think this is key. Doesn't need to be this year, but it could be. He'll be at his max value this year, and only declining from there.

But the year after might make the most sense, so he can keep mentoring all of these young guys.

I'm beginning to think the Pels FO thinks ALMOST as highly about Herb's future...as Dinky does. Herb will be around here for quite a while.
