No, we’re just going to hunt for a haul for BI now

Hawks coveted Herb for Murray. We kept Herb. This is a win

losing Dyson is going to be like Sam Bowie over MJ.

My issue is Dyson has the value of a late 1st round pick IMO, maybe mid 1st, so we essentially gave up 3 1sts for a guy that no team offered more than 1 first for.
A non-allstar went for 5 first this week

Using him to upgrade center? No idea but he can’t stay here

Win now. Dyson is not good, y’all are insane

If it was Herb then you guys could melt.

Now the downside in this is that Murray is a meh-to-bad 3-point shooter and isn't that great of a distributor if the plan is for him to run point.

Look I wanted Trae but getting Dejounte for this is a massive win.

Hoenstly I feel like with dys his offense was never going to develop until his second contract which would have been on a second team regardless

Comparing a trade deadline offer to an offseason offer is apples to oranges IMO.

Tf are we doing with BI then
Hoping that having a PG gets him to shoot more 3s
Who is coming out of the starting lineup if he doesn't trade BI?
If it's Herb, the defense will take a hit, Murray showed he can't be the primary defender in Atlanta.
If it's CJ, your shooting just took a hit.
They better have a BI trade lined up or the starting lineup might be even worse than it was last year.

Murray should be good for you guys if he decides he wants to play a little bit of defense. Probably a win-win trade.

Dyson’s offense may never be good enough to make him a viable player
Right.
They had a chance to get an upgrade and a point.
People were batching that Griff wasn't doing anything.
He went a got a pg on a decent deal money wise.
I think Dyson is going to take longer than most to be a guy

Having a real PG at the end of games is going to do wonders. Not to mention Murray has shown he could be clutch.

Umm we got fleeced on that trade
I’m a big Dyson guy and love Larry, but it’s asinine to say we got fleeced.

So you think the poster Dante is doing ok???!

Good post. That's the price of keeping both BI and Herb. Now let's see what happens next.

Atlanta couldn’t get more than a 1st at the deadline for him, Dyson and 2 1sts is definitely an overpay
And that's why they didn't trade him
That was probably a 1st plus Herb.
