Grant Williams and Derrick white are about even w herb Jones and Alvarado. Pels have MORE picks they can trade but they have to be willing to part with them.

The report listed Brandon Ingram, Herbert Jones, Devonte Graham and Jose Alvarado as potential candidates to be traded for Durant.

Who is Patrick McGee and why is he writing about the Pels using another news paper as his source?

Who’s to say KD wouldn’t do us dirty either like he’s doing nets if things don’t work out…
your answer is
yes. nothing is forever.
the better question is with kd and zion and jv and cj and herb and tm3 and Jose can they compete for championship.

Look, Brown is great and yes, he is a better defender.
But Ingram played an entire season without Zion and only had CJ for about 30% of a season.
Ingram accumulated his numbers being the focal point of the other team’s defense.
Jaylen Brown accumulated his playing off Tatum and a better overall roster.
If you want to truly compare efficiency, you would have to do it by only looking at games that Ingram got to play with CJ and only games Brown got to play with Tatum.
That would give a clearer picture of who, if anyone, is more efficient offensively out of the 2 of them.

If we trade BI for KD, I’m out. I’ve sat through some awful basketball, and basically sett my money on fire on season tickets. I know KD is elite, but sometimes you need to do right by someone, and trading BI isn’t right by him or us.

Trading BI now would be a major blow to team chemistry and morale, IMO.
Don't do it!!!!!!
Don't do it!!!!!!

we need to put this shite to bed
1) Kevin Durant under no circumstances would agree to report to the Pelicans no matter the trade. He and his handlers want a marquee team with big names
2) here’s a story from yesterday from Ian begley (nets/Knicks) LINK sourcing Durant; he wants sixers/Celtics/suns with specific players he wants to play with
You can say he has no leverage all you want (and in a vacuum you’d be right) but the fact of the matter is he is going to get what he wants when/if traded. Equally likely is the nets call his bluff and let this go into the season
LEAST likely is that he is traded to a team he doesn’t want to go to

Which is why Griff specifically ruled it out and why every reporter actually connected to the story or to the Pels has said that we've told the Nets that BI is not on the table.
Any package for Durant would be some variation of either CJ or JV (necessary for salary), one of either Trey or Herb, Dyson, and salary filler (Temple/Graham/Jaxson/Kira). And picks, of course.
If you want to discuss that, go ahead. Personally, I am tired of KD talk, because I don't think that anything is going to happen until after the season starts, but if we're going to talk about it, then it should at least be realistic and not Chicken Little crap.

this is sweet.
check out vegas betting o/u for pelicans. 44.5. tied for 8th with the Lakers.
that's in the play in. lets generously say 50 50 to get a playoff series vs a top tier team with a no doubt hall of fame star: kahwi 2x champ or cp3 or curry 4x champ.
you are TDgm. are you ok with this season as " maybe win a play in game or two before then dealing with a home team with a super star.
choose:
kd or ingram (and one unprotected 2024 first)8.
edit to acknowledge TD pels board is clear that kd is not worth it. Mkeh. apparently pels mgmt is still kicking tires.

Going into last year, CBS did a top 100 players ranking. Jaylen Brown was 25th overall, B.I. was... 40th. I don't agree with that, but he's not wrong in the majority thinking that.

Ingram has a beautiful midrange game,, but as we know midrange is not efficient basketball and Ingram’s 3 pt shot has been up and down. If he is consistently around 38% sure I can put him over brown. But when it is sub 35% that is not efficient enough.

management doesn’t make decisions based on Vegas lines.
Vegas is seemingly betting on continued bad injury luck and that’s okay for them to do. trading our depth for another player who hasn’t been very healthy also wouldn’t be very wise

The biggest thing BI has over Brown is playmaking and ballhandling. IMO they are relatively equal players, depending upon what your team needs are. That being said, BI is under contract longer, so he’s more valuable at this time.
