And was legally co-signed by Zion or someone with Power of Attorney. It wouldn't shock me if Lee Anderson manipulated him into giving them POA.

I'm no CPA, but agent fees are likely pre-tax.

So I guess this increases Zion’s chances for more court time this year. Baby steps.

He's only gotten like $70M of the $350M thus far.

He ain't running out of money anytime soon, and if he actually plays basketball the next 3 years, and is good, he'll sign another contract and be billionaire.

Man remember when we won the 2019 lottery and actually thought it was a good thing?

This guy was not only supposed to be great on the court, a lot of his appeal were intangibles, being a leader on the court, not being a mess off the court, etc

Almost nothing has been as advertised other than he’s good at basketball when he is actually able to play it. But even that has mostly been unrealized besides maybe a 12 game span last year, where he truly played like a Lebron/Jordan type prospect. A lot of his good has still been quite a bit under his potential due to weight, conditioning, effort, etc.

Nah, he's been as good as advertised when he plays

Only dude in NBA history to avg 25ppg on 60% shooting and did so at 20 years old.

Getting him on the court is the only major letdown.

Correct. He’s an MVP candidate when healthy but also not a franchise player.

All you can do is cheer him on or hope to trade him.

It’s the Zion experience.

I feel like there was a clear difference for about 12 games last year where he was actually running around stealing the ball, blocking shots, closing the games like an alpha, being an emotional leader, etc

He’s always been historically efficient offensively. But that’s not what made him the best prospect since Lebron. It was the defense, desire, hustle, intangibles, plus being an offensive force. We’ve gotten very little of the full package in 4 years. The best part about last year, is that he actually showed he could do it on an nba level even after his injuries. So hopefully he can get back to loving the game again and expressing himself on the court like he was doing during that last stretch. He clearly had found another gear. The type of gear that is necessary for us to ever contend.

Half healthy or half effort Zion scores 27 a game efficiently and makes us a competitive team. All in Zion, makes us a contender.

i seriously doubt that.
He's barely even played basketball and he's already guaranteed to make over $350M, and that's just his NBA contract and Jordan brand contract.

Didn't Mike Tyson blow ~$400mil?

There's also the fact that he just turned 23. If he can stay on the court, Zion is likely to significantly improve as a player. A Zion who stays healthy is a future MVP.

Mike Tyson was a moron and it still took him over 15 years to blow through that money. Zion will make 2-3 times what Tyson did.
Let me know when Zion starts buying tigers.

The plaintiff is claiming that Zion's stepfather represented himself as an agent of Zion, which they relied upon. If true, it shows just how big of a piece of shite that guy is, if Zion didn't know or benefit from the money.

Probably will come down to whether he had a POA or the legal ability to act on Zion's behalf or Ankr was dumb enough to take the stepfather on his word.

I'm no legal scholar, but this makes sense.

Either way, Zion's stepdad just seems like not the dude you want running shite for your own business/brand.

every nba player does that.

I"m not saying he's being lead by good people, but he has a shite ton of money coming to him over the next 5 years, and beyond. He'll be better off when his stepdad is a bit out of the picture, but it's incredibly difficult to blow through $350M, especially being a spotlight athlete like he is. This day in age there's too many influential people that can reach out to him and tell him to stop being a fricking idiot and at some point he'll realize it. He has enough money to make plenty of mistakes.
