If Demps was actually smart (he isn’t) he would tell the Lakers he isn’t going to talk to them if a vital piece of the trade has already come out against playing for us. Do all this knowing we don’t want Ball to begin with but it gives the Pels leverage and an excuse to not have serious talks with them.

Don't want Ball, but what happens when Tatum comes out and says the same thing? Or Simmons if it's Philly? Or whomever? The odds of finding players excited to be here are pretty slim given how this regime has run this franchise the last 9 years.
