Let's address the elephant in the room. Zion has broken his weight clause multiple times.

EASILY over 315 right now and I believe those pics at the camp were just the angles. His fadeaway jumper against the Chinese dudes during the trip there he looked out of shape. That was only days after the summer camp event with the kids.
Either he has the most massive weight fluctuation ever or he was not in shape and those camera angles covered it up.
We all are aware of this, but why?
Do y'all think dude just doesn't want to be here and wants the weight issue to be the cause? Basically, is he using that to turn the franchise against him and move him, or is he just incapable of getting under 300lbs at this point?
285 Zion was literally lean and all muscle. A side by side comparison to the actual 285 frame, next to the 2022 media day frame (great shape, still probably 300) to his best shape of last year which was still bigger than 2022 and around 305-308. Right now, dude is over 315 easily.
You can literally see 30lbs of more weight if side by side with his Duke frame. It's ridiculous. Nobody can actually think they are "better" at that weight right?

It's always been this or fans trying to convince themselves that he is skinnier than he is because his street clothes are baggier than a basketball jersey.
Dude has largely, no pun intended, looked the same for the last 3 seasons.

I don't think it's that sinister. I just think it's the product of a sheltered kid who was told from his sophomore year in high school that he was going to make it to the NBA on natural talent, so he never really matured.

This, dude grew a beard and wore baggy clothing to fool y’all lol. He’s no way near Mountain Dew Zion but also not close to duke Zion. Duke Zion is long gone and may never be seen again

If he stays healthy, he will play himself into shape around game 30, don’t worry fellas

He needs to get with Harden's Ozempic dealer

I don't think so. I don't think he cares where he plays. Frankly, I don't think he cares that much at all about basketball. He certainly doesn't love it. At this point, it's a means to an ends for him.

Man it is sinister imo, if not towards the NBA then it's sinister towards his fans.
He was the most exciting player I've ever watched at a college level and it's not close. He has been a great and fun to watch in the NBA as a slasher like my favorite view, prime Wade. But he doesn't dunk on people like I expected (because he's too damn heavy) his defense is definitely nowhere near as fun to watch as Wade, but his handle has been better than I expected from college.
As a fan, I just wanted a few years of Duke Zion smh

The result is sinister... I don't think the intentions are.

Didn't even argue that Zion would NOT show up in shape game 1. Just argued that let's wait and let him prove it. But to your point, fans will go out of their way to convince themselves no matter what, no matter how many times....we'll do it again next offseason, guaranteed.

Damn I did work in that thread

Yeah, my 2 posts were pretty measured there. I was taking the glass half full approach, fully aware that the cup was at no risk of overflowething.

My approach with Zion now is always "show me"
I've seen enough bullshite talk
And he has shown us

The entire post was "cool, let's see it'

I'm lowkey pissed at myself in that thread for at least sniffing the bait that was a Zion offseason pick.
The thinner neck had me fooled unlike in past years when I thought people were taking crazy pills when they said he looked skinnier.

To be fair I thought he was looking good all offseason in what we saw too.
We were fooled. It was all bullshite

Idk man. He does look thinner to start this season. Something just seems off with him. I think it's more effort at this point, which is almost worst.
We've seen him be effective for 2 quarters out of a possible 8. And I'm not trying to sunshine pump, but something tells me he goes off tonight.

He's never come into a season in shape, so coming in looking a bit better than before isn't the same as Zion coming in in peak condition.
shite, his stepdad said game 1 he'd be skinnier than he was at Duke, correct? Well, yea...about that...

i agree. That second half in the first Portland game he was engaged at both ends of the floor and you saw him actually hustling at times.
I think, and hope, he goes off tonight. I'm hoping he's been eviscerated by his shitty play in the last game and has somethign to prove tonight.
Just got an email from the Pels for "gameday" with this picture. You think it's unedited?

Yeah that's what I'm saying. He's not in peak shape but he's pretty close to the shape he was in at the end of last season, and he was killing motherfrickers all day
