The dude has been an iron man for us, playing 74 and 79 games the last two seasons. He hasn’t missed a game this season yet.

We see you big man. Keep bumping down low and posting double doubles.

He’s been money for us.

His headshot during retro pels’ anthem kills me every time.

I was talking about JV today at work. Draymond always trying to fight the foreign centers. I think JV would man up on him quickly if he came at him

JV has been amazing this year.

But does anyone else worry that since JV didn’t sign an extension that Griffin will trade JV with Kira to get under the tax? I really hope he doesn’t but something tells me Griff might do that to avoid the tax at all costs.

Pels are one of two teams to never pay the tax, so it’s possible they move him, but I think it’s more likely they’d find another way to stay underneath the tax line. I’m hoping they figure out a way to do like a 2/30 deal with him. Maybe 3/45.

We’re gonna need Jake or one of the bloggers to do an article on the tax issue in advance of the deadline.

You honestly just need to get rid of Kira to get under the tax. But the fact hes collecting DNPs makes it so difficult to trade him. We either attach draft picks or JV to get rid of him. Hopefully we don’t attach JV but I don’t see any other way- lets see though deadline still a couple months away.

If we're good, this won't happen.

If we're good and this does happen as more of a salary dump, it'll put the nail in the coffin for any chance we ever have to contend with Gayle as the owner. It'll be over. We'd never pay the cap going forward.

But again, I don't think that happens if we're rolling.

Out of every player on our team I’ve always been the hardest on him over the years but he’s been rock frickin solid this year and his effort is always 100%. Went to the t wolves game Monday night and was amazed to see the big man sprinting back down the floor on every possession. He’s in amazing shape

I believe if the tax is an issue we could also stretch and waive Kira and get under the tax

Could be mistaken though, that may not be an option that late into the season

JV always does this type of stuff. I remember when we signed him, he was averaging like 22/10 and I was wondering how we got him for so cheap.

Draymond would never have come at Jonas like he did at Nurkic. He knows Jonas ain’t that guy. I wouldn’t want to piss that big Lithuanian bull off.

Steven Adams is a big guy. Draymond kicked him in the balls twice. Draymond is crazy.

Kira will be part of a Nance trade / Dyson trade for a better backup big... Don't worry about it. We will be under the tax and better after the dust settles.
Kira knows he's gone and at this point, I hope he is so he can get a fresh start with another team... Similar to NAW...

Jonas is playing great. My concern is that he's playing great in a contract year and he's getting older. I don't want to overpay for him just to watch him fall off a cliff next season.

But it's clear how much better he is than some of the board favorites (including me) like Gafford. He's a very difficult player to value.

I was just thinking to myself last night that Jonas doesn't get enough credit, he's just a solid reliable player for us that's almost always affecting the game in a positive way. My favorite is when they sleep on him at the 3PT line and he pulls up and makes one

JV has been great. I think we need to re-sign him to like a 2 year deal.

As far as Gafford, I liked what i saw from him. I would love to have him in addition to JV. I really want us to turn Larry and Kira into Gafford at the deadline. JV and Gafford is a damn solid center rotation.
