That being said, it’s almost like many either weren’t around or have forgotten how CP3 handled himself in 2011.

Guy was here for 6 years as a top 5 player in the league and we did nothing with it. You should direct your disappointment in the organization. GM couldn't put a sustained winner around one of the best guys in the league and the ownership at the time was uncertain. No one wants to waste away in purgatory here

Not everyone has to hold a grudge against every single player that leaves us. The organization fricked him over blowing up a team that was competing on a yearly basis

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone that liked how he handled the situation.

Still, he handled it 100x better than AD. Not like thats saying much.

Also, its fun seeing new blood in the finals.

Pulling for Cp3 over Jrue easily. Hall of fame player, best player in our franchise’s history

He won’t be considered better than AD.

He’s also a dirty player and whiny bitch.

Jrue is a class act all the way.

I hate to break it to you but that’s how shooting down a trade works.

Never said the organization wasn’t at fault. But it isn’t like he wanted out to go to a contender either. His preferred destinations were narrow and specific.

This is a dude who flops on a “spit”

I’m team Boogie and team Rondo for life when it comes to beef with CP3. He’s a classless bitch.

But I give him credit for taking a backseat to Booker and Ayton, picking his spots. Great players at his age elevate others not make it all about themselves.

So how is telling GS he won't sign an extension handling it poorly?

I dont know about that.

Does anyone think AD could have done what CP3 did with that OKC team that had no business being as good as they were?

We have tons of evidence to support that he cant.

Specific bc he wanted to pair with another star, yeah? Kobe, Melo or Dwight at the time. They went to shite quickly but the lakers, knicks and magic were all playoff squads. LAL was not far removed from b2b titles and the magic from representing the EC in the finals. Of course the clippers won +16 games from the year prior after acquiring CP3

Do we not think Jrue had preferred destinations behind closed door? Let’s not pretend he would’ve wanted to end up in Sacramento or Charlotte

Lets not pretend behind closed doors and leaks to the press are equal.

Jrue is a class act and plays with integrity. CP3 is a classless dirty whiny player.

I think I’m leaning Jrue. CP3 was the man when he was here but all the floping and being part of the Banana Boat clique soured me on him later in his career.

I’ve seen some dumb things on this board but this is up there with the dumbest. The Bucks winning a title is catastrophic for us.

Why is that?

Is it because giannis is more likely to stay…Dirk style… therefore will be relevant for years?

I strongly disagree. The odds of Giannis forcing his way out of Milwaukee were always low. I actually think that it's better for us if they win.

1) Winning a title means that role players become in demand and command higher salaries. Teams that win titles have trouble keeping those role players.

2) Winning a tile takes the pressure off. How did the Lakers do this year? Did they ever look hungry?

3) A title for MIL shows Zion (and the national media) that a small market can put pieces around him and win a title. A transcendent player drafted by a small-market team has no need to go to NYC or L.A.

Our hopes for the Bucks picks rest on a possible future injury to Giannis, and also on the possibility that 31-year-old Jrue gets old quickly and drags MIL down with his massive salary. That's true whether they win this year or not.

As long as we own the Bucks picks and swaps, I want them to fail miserably

Yeah, our draft debt load doesn't start for 4 more years. What we want to see happening to Milwaukee is what's happening to the Warriors. 2-3 years ago can anyone imagine Steph and the Warriors parting ways?

But what if Klay is never the same and Draymond keeps declining? Will he stick around after a few more years of missing the playoffs or being a 1st round exit?

No, they aren't. There's no way a MVP level guy is going into his 30s and staying in one place without a title anymore.

This just means they'd fall short and put our picks in the 20s, which is still very shitty. Unless Giannis' legs fall off he's good enough by himself to keep them as a top 5 team in the East through 2027.

The national media and people in Zion's ear will continue to push him to a bigger market no matter what and screwing up an asset won't help us any.

But if Steph never won a title he would've been gone 3-4 years ago.
