One thing I think we can all agree on is that we won't have 3-4 rookies on the main roster, so some of our draft picks this year are going to get packaged.

Yeah at the very least we will make a move with our 2nds. I'm hoping we have a euro player or 2 that we have been keeping a secret.

Its really simple honestly. Lonzo will either take JJ/ Jrues role or he is gone. JJ may be gone but won't be here after next year. Hill is an expiring. So right now Bledsoe/ NAW are our PGs going forward. Lonzo, JJ, and Hart are our SGs. If we really are targeting Killian or another PG/SG then Lonzo, JJ, and NAW are the ones that would be shipped. I didn't add Hill because I'm not sure what his trade value is.

I've said this a few times since we drafted him, but I don't believe we should necessarily view NAW as a point guard. We gave him some run there this season based on necessity, but he's clearly more comfortable off the ball going back to his days at Virginia Tech and his size allows for him to play there. So in the scenario that Killian is drafted, it doesn't tell us anything long term about NAW other than we may be getting him back to a comfortable role.

Andrew Lopez, for now, disagrees and says to his knowledge we did not include 42. Obviously he could be wrong.

Ball is a point guard! He and Jrue did not compliment each other. Without Holiday I think we will see a great point like Kidd.

39 that is very possible...

HOWEVER: New 2 Way contract rules for this season are probably pretty appealing to some rookies and washed up vets.

But with the addition of Bledsoe and Hill we don't necessarily need JJ

He played a part in getting SVG here, and he's been praised by Griff as the only vocal leader on team, and Griff has said many times that we need more leadership. JJ is not going anywhere.

Hill is not going to be a Pelican. I'm sure we are looking to unload him somewhere.
Hill and #24 for #20 and S&T of Meyers Leonard. Miami is not letting Crowder go, and Crowder wants to play with Jimmy.

Hill is the exact kind of low usage, high productivity, solid vet this team needs. On a short contract to boot with little guaranteed next year.

I'd hold on to Hill.

Alright so let's say we see NAW as a SG. Now we most likely draft a PG if we get in the top 10.

Bledsoe/ Hill/ R
JJ/ Lonzo/ NAW/ Hart/ Didi
BI/ Hart
Zion/ Melli
Hayes

Someone still needs to be moved from the SG position. If you want to see how NAW, Lonzo, Hart, and Didi fill that role without Jrue then JJ is the obvious one out. I want Hart to play more SG and we need another true SF behind BI regardless. We also need another center. No way we go into next season with all these guards.

I would have a high asking price on Hill. He’s exactly what this team needs on and off the court.

I actually do like Bledsoe, but I’m in the same spot with him as I was with Jrue. Wouldn’t mind having him, but would probably look to move him.

Is Didi coming over? I thought he was staying overseas for another year?

We just gained leadership with Bledsoe and Hill. And its even better because they are primary ball handlers/ facilitators. "he played a part in getting SVG here" is another way of saying JJ is a professional guy and our team wanted his opinion/ help because of his history with SVG. JJ is 36 and on an expiring contract so what makes you think he did that for him or for any specific reason besides helping both parties and building relationships? How does his 1 year of leadership next year help when he is gone? We can get another vet guy in free agency for a leadership role and make sure he is here for 3+ years. Isn't that more important than 1 seasons or half a season??

I don't mind him being our Darius Miller this year, for contract/trade purposes, while actually being a player that can play quality minutes unlike Darius did.

Trade Lonzo for top 10 pick and get Killian Hayes. Let Bledsoe run the point with Hill as backup. Let Killian Hayes and NAW gain some experience under Bledsoe, Hill and JJ. Then once we are ready to compete, we have a bunch of draft picks and assets to make the right moves.

How about

Lonzo + #13 for a top 10 pick and player

JJ + #24 for a player or pick

Now you have 2 players filling roles and have some cap space to add another vet.

I feel like if Lonzo is traded JJ should be traded. If JJ is traded we may keep Lonzo and see how he plays.
