This is a clear indication that we aren't paying the tax next season.

I love this. Got off DGs money, got a serviceable expiring and kept all our 1sts.

If we are healthy we are going to wreck shop in the playoffs, then we have flexibility and tons of assets to be the big dogs this off season.

Griff has said repeatedly that he wants to build the roster organically, and that is what he is doing.

Totally disagree. Graham would have been eating up cap that you can use on more productive players. Great to get rid of his contract.

Don’t actually know much about Richardson at all.

What’s the general consensus… decent?

Is it though?

It could just be adding more of a buffer so we can add another solid/good player and when we go over, it's $11mil or so less and more doable.

3 and D guy on an expiring deal.

Certainly less of a liability than Graham even if his shooting is about even with him.

He had a couple seasons where he shot real well on 3s, average on defense I would guess. He's a capable rotation guy. Upgrade on Graham for sure.

Today is a win for the org. They realized they screwed up with DG, and when it finally got to a point where they could ship him out without paying twice they did just that. Remember Dell Demps? He was constantly paying twice for his mistakes. This shows the fan base we have competent management. Jax is the only other “oops” on the roster, but he can roll off this year.

Props to the Pels. Now let’s go eliminate PDX from the playoffs and laugh and laugh and laugh at them. ETA: I’m still pissed at how they handle injury updates, but at least roster/cap issues are addressed as appropriately as possible. Especially considering the tax line issues.

He's going to give you offensive production you hope you were getting from Graham going into the season. He has the potential to be 6th man type of instant offense off the bench.

I'm fine with it.

Worth it to get out of Devonte's contract alone

JRich is an expiring

And you get josh Richardson. I love getting off graham.

We gave up too much for a guy who fits in nowhere barring injury

I disagree there.

I think he immediately slots in as one of the first 2 guards off the bench with his defense and shooting.

Richardson could be a total bust here and it's a good trade to not give up a 1st to move on from Graham and save Willie from himself.

He'll be a contributor, much more than Graham. He can get you double digit points off the bench pretty regularly.

I’ll take this all day and twice on Sunday. Thanks to Graham he was a great teammate but just wasn’t the best fit with our team with Kira coming back. Hopefully he gets a lot of playing time in SA.

I don't think Richardson will play an important role for us this year, unless we have more injuries. With that said, I'm ecstatic to be rid of DG. Never have to see him and Jose on the court together again, which is a huge win by itself.

I know maybe some of you haven't watched him given Spurs and all, but what guard comes off the bench in front of him?

It's really no one.

He's a 6'5 guard with a 6'10 wingspan that can knock down open looks, defend multiple positions, passes the ball well, and gets his own shot. Fits with CJ and a better compliment with smaller guys like Jose.
