Willie is not one of you
I'm sure Willie actually does like Hawk, but it doesn't look like he's planning to play him regularly with Dyson out.

Like I said, Willie can only play one of Jose or Hawkins at a time for whatever reason. And Jose isn't going to lose his minutes anytime soon.
It's puzzling but he doesn't value Hawkins offense to find a place in the rotation for him.

We will see a lot of Hawk, Willie honestly just probably forgot to say his name. Dyson played 20+ minutes a game that had to be filled. Hawk will just have to learn to play some 2 and 3 and use his length to his advantage.

I’m not going to melt until I actually see the rotations, but it really feels like Naji is going to get the biggest increase of minutes with Dyson out rather than Hawkins or Jose. I love Naji and he has value to this team, but I don’t want to see him over Hawkins. This is why we needed to take the iron out of Willie’s bag at the deadline. He just can’t help himself

Why does no one in the media ask him why he doesn’t play one of the best shooters on the team?
ETA: he’s coaching like someone scared to lose his job, rather than playing the long term piece that could develop into a starter, he wants to give minutes to the end of the bench vet who likely has no future with the team.

Willie doesn’t like shooting. He only wants defenders. Griff needed to force his hand he didn’t because Griff will only make a deal if he feels like he’s getting a bargain

Dyson is really valuable as a DEFENDER, he’s 6’7 and capable. Of course he’s listing defensive players that will have to step up.
Hawkins is a shooter. His role remains the same. Stfu.

What’s his role? DNP? If Willie loves defense so much, why does he give Zion the minutes? Hes like a turnstile on defense. Something is odd that Willie doesn’t try to give Hawk at least 10 minutes a game with Dyson out.

Not really. We won both games playing tight arse defense recently.
Defense wins in the playoffs.
I love Hawk, but he is more likely to play more when CJ is hurt or needs some rest - basically what happened already this season.
Cj had a collapsed lung etc.
