Reputation doesn't matter in the NBA--look at Harden.

The team will likely put together a coordinated response guide.,,,which internally will probably annoy some players for Zion creating unnecessary drama.

Which will likely just be some canned answers like "we know Zion wants to get back, play, and is working hard" may even lie about communicating with him.

The difference is Harden is one of the top 75 players of alltime. Even if you think his actions are shite he's got an on the court rep to fall back on. Zion has played just over 75 games.

His teammates are about to get bombarded by this when they get back from the break, while he's off the grid.

Can't imagine they're going to enjoy that.

In one sense, they get a buffer because there is still 3 days until the next game and by then the national media will be focused on something else, AND it is in New Orleans where everyone will be distracted by Mardi Gras.

But I cannot imagine CJ, BI, Val, etc are happy about this.

To have any hope of resolution, you have to confront the guilty person with the truth.

They have to be happy that some kind of intervention is happening, as I am sure that they hated the status quo.

I wish CJ/BI would take some time and fly to Oregon and confront this dude while we have time off.

I know they got families and all that, and it is not their job. But I wish they would.

I think 99% of pro athletes are ways less emotional about this stuff than we are.

Im sure they wish he was here playing, but not enough to have some type of A&E style intervention. Whether they agree with him or not, i'm sure they just see it as a business decision he's made, and will ultimately follow the unwritten rule of not meddling in that.

The same way guys pretended to "support" Davis when he quit on them midseason.

Thats why its important for outside guys to call it out.

One of the few times I would say the national press is actually helping New Orleans here. Because aside from SAS, no one is going to side with Zion if he tries to force his way out amidst all his bullshite.

absolutely. and you've been hearing more and more grumblings from the national media on how Harden/Simmons forced their way out. Most people, including the media, are getting tired of the players doing this.

after the national media made a big deal about Hart/NAW showing their loyalty to the club after being traded, the pelicans are sitting pretty right now, and we have the media behind us for the most part. Zion is the one looking like an arse.

The vast majority of major national media will sing a different tune if the team he forces himself to is in NY or LA.

They will dance with joy.

I think even SAS wouldn't want Zion on the Knicks with his current attitude because the NYC media would DESTROY him if he pulled a disappearing act like the one he's doing now.

Lol that's even better for them. it gives them ratings, easy story lines, and hours, days, and months of easy content.

And there is definitely a realistic possibility that is in fact true.

That they text, or that many of the guys are in a group text(we've heard our players are close and have these) and someone woke Zion up today with a comment about JJ wildin on Z during First Take and them all laughing a bit. While we are all out here dooming

maybe, then he'd truly be exposed, like AD has been. You would have never seen a compilation of AD flailing on the ground after every little injury if he was still here. You put him in LA and now you have millions watching him and critiquing him, and they have now discovered he's a bitch that dissappears in the 4th quarter routinely. How different he'd be looked at if not for the lucky bubble title.

and none of the NY or LA teams have a god damn thing to give us that would ever make us trade him, unless the Clippers want to let go of Paul George, or the Knicks win the #1 overall pick. and if the league wants to cheat for the Knicks again in the draft and give them the #1 pick, id' be fine with sending fat arse over there for #1 and RJ. The Knicks are the only team with picks, and the the other 3 aren't trading their superstars and have no other assets worth a shite.

It's reality to dumb people that can't imagine the possibility their biases and inputs would deceive or skew their interpretation of the external world.

If you are trying to say that there are a lot of people that will interpret things a certain way, yeah, obviously. All the threads today are basically speaking to that, and debating what perceptions may have truth behind them, and which may be false assumptions.

They all do this without involving CJ?

Zion Williamson has been uncommunicative with his New Orleans Pelicans teammates while he’s been away from the team rehabilitating his fractured right foot.
How Christian Clark opened his article today.

CJs answer is probably as close as we're going to get to a non PR vetted answer for the rest of the season.
