quote:Yes, it is certainly news.
I mean Stein is literally saying pelicans considering trading Zion. Is that not news when most have said pelicans wouldnt even consider it.

If you put 2+2 together, he's clearly sourcing Shams.

Ive given up on getting excited about off season pics of Zion. Honestly the truth is, he has major issues maintaining his weight when he gets injured and tries to return. Now he said he didnt feel like himself when he tried to return from the hammy injury but there was word going around that his conditioning was no where needed for a return- who really knows what happened there though.

If we trade Zion for just Scoot, I feel that's a huge fail.
I know the days of Gobert like trades are probably over, but damn, that's a super low return.

Agree with you there. These are legit reporters competing with each other not random twitter guys.

Selling a generational talent at the absolute lowest point of his value would be peak Pels.

Windy said we are trying to move up, but it’s cursory discussions and we haven’t made an offer. Then speculated about Zion for awhile.
McNamara said the same thing a day ago or two

If it was just that, honestly I think pels would have pulled the trigger. I honestly think other teams dont want him. Our fan base really values him a lot more than others.

There's no scoop here. Just hearsay.
Here's the actual wording on the snippet.

I heard this week from one well-placed observer who is convinced that the Pelicans would indeed consider dealing Williamson away if it meant they could draft Henderson, pointing to a rising level of exasperation within the organization regarding Williamson's ongoing availability issues and overall approach.

I mean he could play 10 games and get injured for the year so technically it could be even lower next year.

We saw the 1 pic and it honestly looked like the skinniest he's been since preseason rookie Zion. Then we saw the gender reveal video, and it confirmed what we saw in the picture.
That was just 1 week ago, and he appeared to be much lighter than we've seen the past couple of years. He also looked good in the video from the gym promo thing with the kids.
We know he can play himself into shape. What would make me feel a lot better about Zion is him adding tools and habits that will help him stay in shape when he can't play. Like getting into shape by swimming a few hours a day. Or using the personal chef for all of his meals and not hitting up Wendy's anymore. That's probably not anything that would ever get reported to us, but if I'm the team, that's the kind of thing I'd be looking for and pushing for.

Then it’s really stupid to consider trading him now

So basically you dont trust Stein’s reporting and that his source is BS. Yeah makes sense for him to just make up a BS article about Zion and put out that information. Not like hes a legit NBA reporter or anything lol. I get if this was some random twitter guy but has Stein all of a sudden become just a click bait NBA wannbe twitter reporter now?
Posted on 6/14/23 at 12:29 pm to SCLSUMuddogs
Unless his value gets worse. I think theres this assumption his value will rise but what if he gets hurt again and has the same issues?
Posted on 6/14/23 at 12:29 pm to Pels_Yaz
You have an extreme view on everything you disagree with.
Posted on 6/14/23 at 12:30 pm to Pels_Yaz
His source is “well placed observer”
Take it with a massive heaping of salt.

That rationale is akin to saying “man Tesla just keeps getting worse, better get out now before it gets lower.” So you sell in 2019 at $13/share
Posted on 6/14/23 at 12:31 pm to supe12sta12z
Only because of your extreme takes of stuff you don’t agree with other people on. You’re shitting on Stein because you don’t like his report. I give credit to shell, he at least acknowledges it. You’re just like eh its nothing lol
Posted on 6/14/23 at 12:32 pm to SCLSUMuddogs
Do you remember Blackberry or any other company that went under? You cant just consider he’ll get better- you have to consider both options.
Posted on 6/14/23 at 12:33 pm to Fun Bunch
What is he suppose to my exact source was this specific person (insert name). What NBA reporter actually says that???
