so skip morant in zions class?

it takes descrimination.
morants been mentored by ray allen. seems to be unproblematic. added 3 pt shot offseason.
hes going to be exactly what his college play suggested his ceiling.
good scorer. great passer. meh defense.
seems to have improved defense before latest injury.

who was the best euro in zions class?
Matisse thybulle.
so you trade your #1 overall and take frenchman thybulle 4th instead of hayes?
how about canadians?

I believe he is speaking in code when he says "euros". Usually means unspoiled, more polished foreign players that are lower maintenance. It is rare that they go super high and they bust at the same rate as anybody else. But less of a headache and easier to manage. Plus more fun to pull for as they appear to care more and try harder.

I wouldn't mind a paradigm type shift where we targeted certain types and built exclusively through the draft. I believe that type of structure could be successful. Target developed upperclassmen and foreign league players. Keep payroll super low to make room for cast offs. There is a niche there that no one else has tried. Sort of a money-ball type approach of thinking outside the box. Hinke sort of started something similar but didn't have a cohesive plan and it went sideways on him. I'd love for someone hungry to come here and try something in that vein..

We’re starting to see more negative info leaking out about Zion. I think the team is tired of coddling and covering for him.

He’ll either grow up or demand out.

Children are more likely to be petulant. Demand out or flip over the gameboard. If he's THIS immature and irresponsible...

Oden never had any reported attitude problems. Just terrible health.

If they don't someone else will. Refusing to extend Zion is giving up leverage, just like refusing to match Lonzo gave up leverage. We see how that turned out.

I am borderline ready to blow things up. Axe Griffin and Langdon, all new FO, and trade literally everyone. Full on OKC level tank. frick it all

(To be serious, I am not really ready to blow it all up. I would not trade Zion or BI or JV yet. But everyone else except Herb I would be searching for deals for).

I figured it was because the euros tend to like NOLA so you don't have the chasing a big market to deal with.

They were not exposed to the AAU circuit, which has created a coddled, entitled, lack of fundamentals, super team culture.

Euros have fundamentals, and they are just happy to play in the US. They don't give a shite about the big markets or teaming up. They want to win and have a lot of loyalty.

American players if they aren't in LA or Miami or NYC want out before they are even drafted.

any extension comes with off season cook and trainer.
no mom cookery.
no mystery broken foot as we were never confessed how he did it.
only works out with our training specialist.
learns some shots.
comes back with a traditional jumper.
a perfected jump hook.
ft 80%.

There are obviously exceptions. Ja played AAU and doesn't appear to be like that, but we will see in a few years. Chet Holmgren doesn't come across that way but again, we will see.

Trade Zion NOW.

Like literally today.

Every day that passes his value decreases.

I'd rather watch Zion's career rot here than him being traded for a bag of shite to go succeed elsewhere.
