It will really suck if we include Moore and only dump Ajinca.

If he is included, I hope the 1st is not (2nd instead) or Asik is included instead of Ajinca.

When I kept saying, "Trade Moore and keep Galloway/Hield"...I meant it as a way to get you know an upgrade at center (I dunno even who), SF (Porter/Oubre/Butler -- if you're including like 3 1st round picks), or backup PG...not Okafor.

I'd rather keep Moore than Galloway 10 times out of town. He's a much better player on a good contract.

The only way trading Moore makes sense is to be the start of trading as many long term contracts as possible.

I mean does Moore being traded help us retain Jrue and signing someone else this offseason?

Moore is playing 24.8MPG, shooting 46.0/40.0/73.8, and posting 10/2/2 on this team.

Galloway is playing 20.4 MPG, shooting 37.3/36.9/79.6, and posting 9/2/1 on this team.

clearly a downgrade, but as a backup are you okay with that assuming Hield improves/retains the starting position?

Guys, Moore is a role player. Keeping him doesn't really do anything for us. He is a nice player but he isn't someone you absolutely need nor is he vitale to this roster. If he can provides value in trade, then his purpose here has been fullfilled.

truthfully, he's a good role player on a cheap contract. he has his limitations, but does his role well.

ideally, he's an asset you trade to improve. I don't think him being included in a trade for okafor would be considered "improvement". maybe if they take asik too.

This line of thinking is what got the Pels in this mess. They tried to replace productive role players/starters with role players off the bench. You insert those guys into the starting lineup or give them 10 more minute per game, they fall flat more often than not.

It's not quite this black and white. In a vacuum, Moore > Galloway. He just has a more diverse skill set and when he isn't scoring he can help the team with defense. But I don't think they are that different in impact when you consider the $2.5 million price difference. I'd be ok with either long term and move the one that netted the better return in a trade. I'd also even consider moving Moore for less if the cap space created helped me land a better starting caliber player in the offseason.

Latest Okafor update is that PHI is still working through offers with at least 2 teams: CHI & NOP, but haven't shut out other teams either.

Sounds like we could be here for a while, Philly believes the hand they have is stronger than it is. They are waiting for someone to throw out a crazy bid and I don't think that will happen. If I'm Demps I start looking into other trades.

Going against Chicago has me nervous. They have more assets, which could force us to lower restrictions on a pick.

Also find it a bit humorous that us and Chicago have the worst roster constructions in the league, fan bases that hate the FO, and are both going after Okafor.

I think one of Philly beat writers said to expect a deal in 24-48 hours on Saturday night

Lot of posturing going on between the two teams right now. You hear Philly is discussing with Chicago for Okafor, then comes the Lopez trade discussion details.

I think they are playing chicken with each other over protections with each team trying to put pressure on the other. I do think something will get done. There is too much smoke with both teams rumors swirling and holding players out.
