Nobody that picked Zion as team MVP.

The guy predicting 30 wins and an MVP of Terminix is the closest. I don't think we win over 30 unless we get peak year 2 Zion, Fears playing like a young Russ Westbrook/Kyrie hybrid, and Trey having a great season. This team is devoid of talent compared to 90% of the league. Our 6,7,8 man is above average, but our top 2-3 players are among the worst top 2-3 players in the last decade. Usually that is where games are won and lost. Your top guys have to be good and be respected enough by the league office to be protected by officiating. Considering we have zero games on national TV, there is no incentive for the NBA to officiate us favorably. They can largely hide the bad calls and bias.

We might win 26 games.

They picked up options on Queen/Fears/Missi today. Maybe they’ll make some moves to get off of a few guys and start to build around them if it starts to go bad early this season.

I’m optimistic and could see them getting at least playin if everything goes well with health. If it goes bad early they should have no choice but to finally blow this shite up and do something different.

You’re not wrong because the teams at the bottom of the league get a different whistle than those at the top.

This is all very hyperbolic. Go look at the Clippers roster right now. Their top 3 players are Garland (walking injury), Ingram (probably out for the year) and Hachimura or Wagler. That's way worse than Zion, Murphy and Murray. The rest of our roster is significantly better than them too.

I'm sure I can cherry pick a few more. We have talent. It just doesn't fit together.

and thus, the record will likely be bad. 25-30 wins bad. Which at this point is whatever to me. Just play hard, and show some progress

Never been more apathetic during an offseason. I really miss being naively excited this time of year, ready to be hurt again, but thinking “this time it will be different!”

Sucks feeling like it’s a foregone conclusion we suck because there’s just zero impetus from the top down to be good. Just the most uninspired coach speak from the laziest hire I’ve ever seen in sports. Then a retread coach that has proven very little and shakes up almost nothing where we could use it.

That said, I’ll tune in tonight and probably stop watching somewhere around games 15-20 when it’s just depressing how much we have decided to smash our heads into concrete once again.

Man me of all people being more optimistic then most

I think this franchise stinks and Dumars was an awful hire, but I think they will grind out 35 wins, possibly even as much as 40 if everything falls right (which is unlikely). They are healthy. Mosley is a better coach. There is talent, albeit ill fitting.

It’ll be just mediocre enough to justify another year of this
