Is Anyone else just…sad

I thought we had something special. I thought this time it would be different. I was wrong, we all were

I would say it's pretty depressing right now. I'll be honest, through the nine game losing streak, I had not yet lost confidence we were going to work our way out of it after BI had some games and the schedule eventually softened up and hopefully Zion comes back. That first half last night was the first time I'd just seen a team that just look like they let go of the rope. I'd like to say that the second half comeback attempt shows they haven't completely given up, but I'll have to see how it translates to Saturday against the Lakers.

The sad thing is the Pelicans were such an exciting team and were primed to take over NOLA in wake of the Saints decline ... but now it is like watching the Saints 2.0

Reminds me of SVG coached teams. You can see from their facial expressions that they are just out there with barely any energy.

I’m incredibly disappointed… nothing ever changes.
When is it going to be our time…

Remember when we were laughing at Phoenix and the lakers? We are now behind Phoenix and could be tied with the lakers next game.

Being a fan of the franchise since 1995-96 season, you'd think I'd be used to it but I truly believed this team was different.
I was wrong and it's juts more of the same. Yes, very sad.

Im close to my breaking point with this franchise. All the good will and positivity from last season and going into this season it finally looked like things were turning around. Then guess what? some more fricking injuries because we cant have anything nice. I've honestly given up hope winning a championship. Let's be the pacers, lets just make the playoffs every year and get some winning culture in here.

It’s kind of hard to fathom that in our 20 years, we’ve been to the playoff 8 times and won a series twice.
It really is sad and depressing (for sports).
I guess we all, quite rightly, had a lot of hope going into the season…and it’s all gone south again.

It was always a long shot for us to win a title. It’s so hard in a small market when you realize that there’s still 12 teams that have never won a championship. Now remember that we’ve had horrible ownership until recently. And I still think that ownership doesn’t have enough invested to pull us out. Our best bet is a miracle season where BI and Zion are healthy, CJ is still effective and some other contender has bad injury luck. It may happen but we’ll never be able to win without a miracle.

I'm totally numb to it.
Completely indifferent at this point. So used to it with this franchise that its hard to care now.

We went from getting Victor in the draft to not even swapping picks with the Lakers because they'll have a better record.

I felt good about BI coming back then I saw the schedule, and immediately went back to being sad.

Sad? Nope
Sad is what you SHOULD feel, when you have a problem and have NO idea what to do to solve the problem. This is not the case, with the Pels. I'm assuming BI & Zion will eventually become healthy & available to play at some point in the not too distant future...AND I'm assuming there is no underlying problem concerning either of those 2 guys.
Having said that, the Pels absolutely KNOW...what their major problem is and it's just a question of whether or not they wait until the off-season to try & fix it or they think they can SOMEHOW make some changes before the trade deadline to fix it, which, imo, is very hard to do.
I think the only thing that makes me a bit "sad"...is that, so far, we have basically wasted the opportunity to throw Dyson out there & let him learn on the fly. Of course, part of it is due to injuries. Bottom line, he's gonna be a very important piece, in the future.
And btw...if, by now, you STILL don't know what our major problem is...well...nevermind.

This was our best shot. With zion still on his rookie deal. Once his extension kicks in, everything changes
