Interesting and positive insight on Zion's psyche I heard on NBA radio yesterday

The hosts were talking about how shitty the ASG was and how Lebron and the hugging at halfcourt and all the buddy buddy crap is so different than in the 80s-90s where guys weren't all friends due to the AAU garbage.

Anyway, he mentioned that there are still some dawgs in the NBA and mentioned Zion specifically.

Said he had a conversation with him and Zion said that he may be friends with some of his AAU guys off the court but on the court he wanted to kill them and they're not friends.

Was nice to hear.

Also aligns to Zion liking Jordan and not being a Lebron acolyte.

I get aggravated with Zion's injuries but at least he's not a future Lebron bitch boy.

Cool, problem is he has to be on the court to do the killing.

Lebron plays. More minutes than any player in history. Hate the dude with a passion, but he plays.

Zion never plays. 10 day contract guys have played more than him. His “killer” attitude is useless on the bench.

Not just that, can someone explain or clarify why we would want Zion to NOT have the same motivation to win as Lebron freaking James? What kind of sense does that make, other than to the few people out there who still think Lebron has no killer instinct, blah blah blah.

he should copy lebrons dedication to staying fit and healthy year after year and not Jordan’s.

Cool, but Zion hugs these dudes at halfcourt too and I’ve legitimately seen him quit in games at the end.

First Lakers game comes to mind. Down 3 in 2nd OT w 5 seconds left. He let the time run out instead of fouling, even though we just blew a 3 point lead in 1 second to even put the game in OT.

Then he yucked it up w AD and Lebron after a gutting loss. (Didn’t appear to be remotely gutting to him that night). Pretty sure the game was nationally televised, so if you have it recorded, you can go back and review the tape.

Love Zion, but nah. Killers play or find a way to play.

Jose is a killer. Mikal Bridges is a killer. Ant Edwards is a killer. (Plays a little dumb, but great mindset overall).

LeBron misses less games after 2 decades in the league than our 22 year old always hobbled player for the last 4 years.

You do realize that Zion's biggest downfall is he has always been coddled....

Check his HS years and the HS he attended.

Check the Dook environment and the "legend" status he was always to a majority "white" environment.... even when "rehabbing" and partying during his "injured" years...

come on man, if you will post anything at all know what the frick you are talking about.

Zion might be out of the league soon at the rate he's at.

Most people recall Larry Johnson as an nba bust considering his hype as a can’t miss number 1 pick. No one has seen a guy with this type of build and power before.

As a 23 year old Larry Johnson played 82 games and averaged 40.5 minutes per game, 22.1 pts, 10.5 boards and 4.3 assists.

Forget Jordan and Lebron. At this point I’d be happy if Zion turns out to be a bust like Larry Johnson.

Zion is a bulldog ... on a chain ... in a kennel ... with a cone wrapped around his head.
