Dyson hasn’t shown flashes like Trey showed early.
I disagree with this, Dyson has shown flashes of being special defensively already.
I wish his offensive game was coming along quicker but we knew what we were getting when we signed up for this. He was super young (he played almost his entire rookie year at 19) with a mediocre season of G League offense under his belt. I'm not surprised this hasn't been a quick thing.
What the Pels need to do is decide if they are committed to developing him. If they are, I think he will become an important part of this team for years to come. If they aren't committed to it, they should look at dealing him. I would guess his value is still very high amongst the league.

BTW, for the people talking about Jeremy Sochan- his offensive game isn't any good either

“ I would guess his value is still very high amongst the league.”
- Honestly, I don’t think so. Its in our best interest to keep developing him because I doubt he has much trade value currently.

Why not use the quote function on the site?

Looking more and more like the Lakers punked Griffin on the AD trade, doesn’t it?
The Lakers won a Mikey Mouse championship. If the Pels don't win a championship with BI or guys from those picks, it can always be argued that the Lakers won that trade. But it doesn't mean that DG got punked. He got as much out of AD as you could possibly get. That's all you can ask for.

I agree Griffin did well on the trade. I don’t agree that it was a so called “Mickey Mouse” championship though. I get the whole bubble thing but they won that sucker. I would take a championship like that any day.

Griff did as well as he could do with the hand he was dealt.

The amount of people who assured me that drafting a center in the 1st was a terrible idea sure are eager now to use assets to look for an upgrade at the position…
Drafting someone who may or may not be good enough to play in the nba isn’t the same as trading for a guy that has already proven he can play in the nba.

Peak BI is one of the best offensive players in the league that also is good enough on defense with his super long arms. The problem is either through injury, mindset, or not fitting with Zion, we only see Peak BI about 20 games a year, and most of those have seemed to happen without Zion making you question the fit until we can get more data.

Debatable. He’s very good at midrange shot, and pretty much refuses to do anything else.

The last 15 games of last season he averaged 28.6/8.1/6.6 on 51/38/90 splits. He only took 3 3s per game, but he got to the line 7.5 times per game in that stretch vs. 6 FTAs for the entire season.
His full season numbers were 24.7/5.5/5.8. So 4 more points, 2.5 more assists and almost one more rebound per game. Peak BI created and attacked more which is what we need him to do. I was not suggesting we could get him for more than 20ish games a year, the injury history and potential fit with Zion are still legit questions. I'm just saying there's a reason the team and many fans still think this can work.

I was going to comment on the ignorance of this post, but TigerinAtl beat me to it.

You’ll miss BI if he’s gone. Promise.
