I think we have a good team but having a star player MOST of the time is frustrating

Hopefully it will be CJ & Willie Green to go.

He's the piece we have and upgrading him without getting lucky in the draft is going to be difficult and costly. That's all I've ever said, how do we realistically upgrade JV?

Every team has weaknesses and flaws. The team is bever going to he perfect especially for a small market team that can not just way ridiculous repeater taxes like the Warriors.

We aren’t missing the playoffs. People need to relax. We’re going to get Zion back a week or two after the ASB and we are going to hit our stride right at the playof

With the frequency that Zion gets hurt, it wouldn't surprise me if he got hurt again before the end of the season.

The most disturbing part of last night is they seemed way more prepared to play us than we did them. They knew all of our actions and were waiting on passes we normally make.

so my answer to thread question is new coach.

and a couple moves.
hayes is expiring.
pray for keeper in draft.

He had a bad game. Tough matchup and I think people are forgetting he is probably injured. But unlike the rest of our players. He actually plays when he has a bo bo.

Jonas will probably have a random 28 point and 16 rebound outing in the next 3-5 games.

That’s how it generally goes when we have people on here insisting he is trash bc he isn’t Jokic, Embiid, or Hakeem Olajuwon.

Some of you frick sticks forget how shitty Steven Adams was for us.

His defense was just as bad (for us) and he compounded that by having zero floor spacing, zero post up game, and shooting 12% from the ft line (yes, I’m exaggerating, but not by much)

if Zach Edey drops to the second round.

why not take with pels/lakers #1?
its going to be mid first.

you cant count on him falling and if you like his game take him when you can. edit. why post using 2nd round pick since pels do not have theirs?

northwestern beat Purdue last night. check it out on replay.
nw went on 17-3 run to close the home win coming back from 8 down.
see how edey played in stress.

What were the options on the table?

Posters on this board think trades can happen in real life like they do on NBA2K. I truly wonder how some of these people function in the real world.

Even the Warriors have holes with that insane tax bill

Now that this is looking more possible, I'll ask again.

If we miss the play-in, what kind of shake up will there be?

It feels like they have to bring in another high level assistant.

As for the team, it’s really hard to say before the lottery. With LeBron out and our free fall we could end up with 2 sets of ping pong balls 7-10. A top 4 pick changes the math a good bit.

if you get rid of BI who fills in for the 45+ games Zion misses?

That possibility never really occurred to me. Obviously, I'd prefer to make the playoffs, but having two separate chances at winning a top 4 pick in the lottery is enticing.

The down side of that is you're pretty much guaranteeing the Lakers a top 10 pick which makes our 2024/25 pick option worth less.

But a top 4 pick for the Pels gives them trade options that don't require putting BI on the table, which I think the team would be pretty reluctant to do. So winning the lottery might be the only way to see a significant change to the roster.
