Griff won’t get canned but he has to be back on the hotseat. Willie will be safe for another year.

Jonas has to probably go. Would they consider dealing BI?

Or do you think they’ll just say ”injuries” and roll out the same crew again?

We aren’t missing the playoffs. People need to relax. We’re going to get Zion back a week or two after the ASB and we are going to hit our stride right at the playoffs. I have confidence in this team. We have way too many dogs on this team to just crumble. But we do need our generational talent just like any team would. They are being cautious with him right now and I don’t blame them. I’d rather have him for the last 20 games of the year and he be healthy than rush him back now.

I'm optimistic too, but if we end up in the play in anything can happen. Got to find a way to make the top 6

We will. No question. Our schedule is easier at the end than it has been so far. We will be top 6.

Need to calm down, we are in the toughest part of our schedule for the year, in march we have 9 games against bad teams. You will see momentum pick up and some 5-10 game win streaks start popping off.

The ASB will help us more than most, we have guys dinged up like CJ, Jonas, Larey, Z, Dyson that all can use the extra week off.

Cleveland is a good team, kind of like the East version of the Pels but healthy and a more balanced roster. The most disturbing part of last night is they seemed way more prepared to play us than we did them. They knew all of our actions and were waiting on passes we normally make.

Last night loss wasn’t panic worthy and honestly going 3-1 in that home stand is what I was expecting. But the Cavs were playing like a playoff team and the Pels weren’t. That’s what was disappointing.

You act like people defend JV as if he's a core piece. He's the piece we have and upgrading him without getting lucky in the draft is going to be difficult and costly. That's all I've ever said, how do we realistically upgrade JV? And are the players some of us are targeting actual upgrades or just lateral moves you're going to pay a lot for now and then complain as much about later as you do now with JV because it's a lateral move that opens up as many holes as it plugs?

Its fundamentally clear he cannot guard the modern NBA 5.

We did nothing to rectify or remedy this. A lateral move is someone who can actually move with the modern NBA 5 and rebound. Points be damned.

What were the options on the table? Guys like Bamba and Hartenstein and Noel are band aids at most. Those aren't guys you want starting for you. Vanderbilt is another small ball center. Not a bad player but not the answer we're looking for either. Lateral moves like Turner weren't available. Even an upgrade like Ayton wasn't on the table.

I'm wondering what Wiseman to Detroit means, if anything, for Duren.

should he? We have the easiest remaining schedule with everyone healthy besides Z. If we can’t make the play-in he’s gotta go

Zion was supposed to play a couple games before asb, now it’s “hell be back a couple weeks after”?

Lmao

how so? We have the supposed deepest team in the league with z coming back soonish? You really think his job is safe if we don’t make the play-in with such an easy remaining schedule?

Griffin has done his job as best he could.

Willie always has the answers to what went wrong in the postgame. How’s about identifying that in game and adjusting?

It means Detroit is taking fliers on everyone.

If the Pistons win the lottery then none of the guys are safe.(Bagley included)

But that trade is probably done.

Also, Cleveland’s Twin Towers is the worst matchup for Jonas.

any team with athletic length is a bad matchup for us. Jazz, Grizz, Bucks, even Orlando beat us with their length.

Think it was just buying low on a prospect at a position that normally takes years to develop.
