If Pels traded up in this draft, who would you want them to target?

If the Pels decided to move into the back end of the lottery, say between 11-17, who do you think Griff would be targeting specifically? Who do you think we should make a move for?
Griff would probably trade up for a big, Im thinking Ware.
If we so happen to move up, I would be ecstatic with selecting Devin Carter. I truly feel, from an eyeball test, to his freakish measurables, to the fact that he seems to have the "it' factor when watching him play, that he could be the best player in this draft. Seriously. But that's not really a hyperbolic statement given the crop this year. Nonetheless, I believe he is starter material in the league and that's sooner than later.

I don't really see all the hype with Cody Williams. He's long, not necessarily advanced in any skill that is surefire to transfer to the NBA, average shooter, I can see the defensive possibilities with him. I will go out on a limb now and say he will not be better than his brother.
He seems like he's 3 years away from realizing his projected potential. He should have done another year in college as the man, leading his team.

Cody would definitely ride the pine his rookie year under Willie. You wouldn't probably even see him until January on a Pelicans court. Jobs are on the line tbh, Griff ain't going for a player who has no chance of playing. And I would say Cody would have lesser chance to play than Hawk last year.

Holland, Cody Williams. It’s hard to tell who’s gonna be in this range with this draft

The Pels don’t play their rookies anyway

Good point.

I don't see the upside with Topic. And the competition in the League he played in this year is atrocious. Rec League quality. Hes not the fastest, his lateral quickness leaves much to be desired, he is a straight line driver, which would be a skill he could depend on, except, he is a below the rim finisher, most of the straight dive maneuver for layups will be blocked or contested. He has a shot that needs considerable work and I certainly think his passing prowess has been vastly overrated. .....And all of that BEFORE the ACL tear, which could lessen his already average physical abilities.
I don't even see him being a starter in the League. He'll get a chance but I think it will become apparent soon thereafter that he is a backup or maybe back overseas after the conclusion of his rookie deal.

He's the guy. He has all the intangibles. I want him on the team..

I like him too but he’ll be long gone.

I read somewhere in early June that Griff had interest in Ron Holland if a deal could be made to move up in the draft.

We wouldnt need Trae if we got Devin. We could go with Dejuonte and Devin and Jose and be just fine at the point. Add in Herb at the 2 and you got defense all day. But, you light they arse up when Hawk get in the game. I would be comfortable starting the season like that and seeing what we could get for CJ.....

Man, i know I'm psyching myself up for nothing bc the odds are Griff drafts someone I would rather NOT have on this team. I feel a bit uneasy with Trajan not in the war room anymore.

GO GET CARTER, GRIFF, he probably could end up earning the starting job in the preseason, if we don't make a move for an upgrade over CJ. I wonder where the Pels have Carter on their board.

lol. It certainly does suck. Sheesh. That's the reason to either use it in a trade to get off B.I. OR go get the player YOU WANT. Either way spend some of the warchest to improve TODAY one way or another. Period.
