I would argue a guy who can score and at times very effectively, solid passer and NBA average defender who has length can be a number two. Does he have to be more efficient in the way he scores a bit? Absolutely. Again its the fit to me which matters. If we’re talking being number two to Zion- I’m not sure if they’re a good fit. They don’t complement each other well.

Waiting for you to realize one of us is giving objective discourse, while the other is just blindly getting mad and taking shots without any discussion whatsoever on the subject.

Oh, so we have a large sample size of him playing with a true #1?
So you've never seen BI play with a true #1 so there's no proof he is NOT a #2, but you're 100% certain and have all the proof you need that he is a legit #2 despite having never played with the right #1?

What?

This one really is strange to me. Kid showed a lot of promise early on and now is in the Kira world of healthy DNPs.

We are almost certainly trading something to get under the tax. I’ve somewhat been wondering if they are shelving Hawkins and will use him to get under the tax.

Trey and Hawk should get a run out together. You need multiple volume 3 point guys on the court.

If they traded Hawkins just to get under the tax- that would be the most ridiculous thing to do.

Yea, there's zero chance of that.

We do need a consolidation type trade. We have redundant skill sets and "too many" players who need a role/spot in the rotation and not enough room for their roles.

I don't have a guess or thought on who the dude is, but I could see packaging Dyson/Hawkins and picks to try and get some kind of an upgrade. But even that, I don't know how it works because whoever is coming back will have some type of salary that would put us into the tax, and I just don't see any reason to believe Gayle will go into the tax any time soon.

I personally think they’ll just package Kira with a protected first rounder to ship him out. Which sucks but they’ll want to desperately be under tax.

I think they’ll shop JV around too but only for certain guys like Allen or Capella. Otherwise they’ll let JV expire when the season ends.

I have far more evidence of BI consistently hitting tough baskets in the 4th than I do of anyone else on the team, so yeah. You're telling me that there are 60 guys in the NBA better than BI?

You don't want to discuss it because you can't. You want to think BI is absolutely a #2 but you can't use actual words to articulate why, so you just lash out at me. That's what is happening right now.

You think it's wrong that BI isn't a #2 because he's never had a true #1, but then turn around and think it's ok to say BI is a #2 even though he's never had a true #1 to bring that out of him.

You contradicted yourself, you realize you did. But instead of conceding or trying to explain, you're just taking your ball and going home.

I actually changed my post because I realized it would just send you into a further death spiral of rageposts, but it was too late.

You're now calling me out for rage posts when i'm discussing a topic and adding stats, and you're angry typing messaged and taking shots at me.

You on some weird shite right now. You're losing your shite then telling me I'm losing my shite "just cause"

But hey, any time you want to have that actual discussion, let me know. Until then, keep whining.

Honestly I think the Zion slander at this point should lessen. He has been playing, and when he does, he does what he’s asked.

The issue is that Willie does not use him effectively. The issue is 100% coaching, this year, imo.

I even think the being fat thing is overblown. He doesn’t look gassed late in games and he is getting significant minutes. He’s just a big guy that prob should lose some weight but I don’t think it’s a massive hindrance at this point.

Coaching is

I'm not into the Zion slander either, but for sure not putting on rose-colored glasses or offering up excuse after excuse for a professional. Let me give you a tell for athletes. A sure sign of being out of shape is constantly falling and hitting the floor. Zion does this a lot. First through fourth quarters and its not good for his body.

I get where you’re coming from but in all due respect this is nonsense. Morant falls on the floor all the time. Usually players who play in the paint tend to get hit a lot more forcefully and take falls.

+ 3.7 in first half of games

In all fairness thats the probably the whole team. Especially regarding how we lose games and choke in the second half.

The tell is he’s consistently the last one down the court on both ends and the amount of possessions he takes off on both ends .

He plays hard in spurts. he’s the hardest type of player to play with bc he can be awesome but drives you absolutely bonkers bc the effort is so inconsistent and can’t be depended on

I also think this will happen. If adding phantom years to get under the cap is Loomising, using draft capital to unload bad or misfit players should be called Griffing
